Subject: Well Plan .Revision 13-02A
MB 8-1
Date: Feburary 1, 1998
Well 13-02A was sidetrack drilled out of existing 7" casing into the Kingak Shale formation. A 6" hole was
then directionally drilled with 10.5 ppg 6% KCL Gel Free Shale Inhibited Mud in the Kingak Share to a depth
of 9,965' at 90° horizontal where the pipe got stuck while making a connection. The pipe was jarred and
worked up hole to a depth of 9,836' where the pipe packed off completely.
An e-line string shot was RIH and the drill pipe was backed-off at 9,619' MD. The fish left in the hole
consisted of one (1) it. of 3 ~" DP, (1) PBL circulating sub, (1) drilling iar (up and down), (3) 4 "A" flex drill
collars, Sperry Sun MWD. 1.75° short pack drilling motor and 6" bit.
A screw-in fishing assembly was RIH and successfully engaged the fish. The fish could not be retrieved after
several hours of jarring and working the fishing assembly. It was decided to set a cement plug on top of the
fish and up to the milled window, then abandon this section of the hole.
After the cement plug i6 set in place, the well will be comple, tely abandon_ed and the rig will be released to
move for ARCO to the Alpine field.
]',,1 01
Obiective: Unscrew out of the fish at 9,619' and POOH with the fishing assembly. RIH with a cement stinger
on 3 ~/~" DP, tag the top of the fish and pick-up 2-3'. Pump a one stage drill-off cement plug from -.t: 9,619 to
9,200' MD (25' below the casing window). Reverse circulate excess cement, POOH laying down DP.
Prepare to abandon the well and release rig to ARCO.
Revision
1. Back out the fishing assembly from the fish at 9,619'. Circulate and condition the hole. POOH, lay down
the fishing assy.
2. RIH w/cementing stinger on 3 ~" DP, tag the top of the fish, PU 2-3'. Rig up to pump cement. Test lines.
3. Pump 10 bbl water ahead, 175 sx (100 % excess}, 17 ppg, Class 'G', ,997 ft3/sx, .17% FL-52, .8% CD-32,
.05% A-2, 1 ghs FP-6L, Batch mix. POOH to _+ 9,200' and reverse circulate out the excess cement and
condition the mud.
4, POOH laylng down DP.
5. MU 3,000' of 41/2' tubing below the tbg. hanger. Land hanger in tubing head. Test hanger.
7. Set BPV. Nipple up a dry hole cap with valve. Test same to 5000 psi. Release rig to ARCO.

13-02B P & A Summary
Objective: The objective of the pre-rig work is to ascertain the condition of the 4 ¥2" x 3
V2" tubing presently in the hole; P & A any open perforations; chemically cut the 3 ¥2"
tubing, circulate seawater into the entire wellbore.
Pre-Rig Work
1. RU slickline and drift 3 ½" tbg. If cannot get to production packer, notify Operations
Drilling Engineer (ODE).
2. Perform CMIT on tbg. IA/OA. The 9 5/8" packoff is known to leak. Report these
results to the ODE.
3. P & A open perforations. Open perforations at 9,659 - 9,679', 9,840 - 9,860' and
9,870 - 9,900' MD. Perform P & A to 100' below bottom perforation interval, bullhead
19.5 bbl (126 sx) 15.8 ppg, 1.15 ft3/sx, Class 'G' cement displaced to the perforation
intervals by 107 bbl seawater. Cement top MUST NOT be above 9,490' MD (minimum
per AOGCC + 9,559' or 100' above uppermost open perforations). Tag and test cement
plugback.
4. RU electric line and make a chemical tubing cut in the first full joint above production
packer (cut at _+ 9,460' MD). Circulate well to seawater through the cut. Freeze protect to
_+ 2,200' MD.
Note: If the tubing is plastic coated, run a double anchor-double acid cylinder cutter.
5. Do not need to test the 9 5/8" packoff (packoff is known to leak) but carefully cycle
the LDS.
Rig[ Sidetrack Procedure
1. MIRU. ND tree, NU and test BOPE. Circulate well clean.
2. Pull the 3 ½" tubing completion.
3. Set 9 5/8" storm packer. Change the upper and lower 9 5/8" packoffs.
4. Set EZSV Bridgeplug on electric line at @ 9,200' MD.
5. Pressure test Casing/Bridgeplug to 3,500 psi. For 30 minutes.
6. Mill a window by Whipstock in 7" casing at + 9,185 - 9,200' MD.
7. Kick-off and directionally drill 6" hole to + 10,400' MD (_+ 250' horizontal into the
Sag River).
8. Run, cement and test 4 ½" production liner.
Note: A MLAS joint will be placed in the 4 ½" liner at the TSAG
9. Directionally drill 3 %" horizontal hole in the Sag River to + 14,563' MD, 8,708'
TVD.
10. Run 2 7/8" slotted liner.
11. Complete well with 4 ½", L-80 tubing and (3) 1" GLM's.
12. ND BOPE, NU and test tree, freeze protect.
13. Release rig.

Re.. The application of ARCO Alaska, Inc., to waive the taking
of an initial productivity profile in Prudhoe Bay Unit No.
DS 13-2A well until the well's cement channel has been
repaired.
Mr. D. F. Scheve
Regional Operations Manager
ARCO Alaska, Inc.
P. O. Box 100360
Anchorage, Alaska 99510-0360
Dear Mr. Scheve:
The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has received
your request, dated June 12, 1984, to waive the initial produc-
tivity profile for the Prudhoe Bay Unit No. DS 13-2A well.
This profile is required by Rule 11 of Conservation Order
No. 165, within six months after production commences.
The application states that there is a channel in the cement
outside the production casing and until this channel is
repaired, the productivity profile would provide little useful
information. It further states that the well is to be repaired
in the third quarter of 1984 and that a productivity profile
would be made within 45 days after the well is returned to
sustained production.
By this letter, the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission
hereby waives the time stipulation for the requirements of
Rule 11 of Conservation Order No. 165 for the subject well but
requires that the initial productivity profile be run within 45
days after well repairs have been completed and the well has
Mr. D. F. S cheve

been returned to sustained production. This waiver is pursuant
to Rule 2 of Conservation Order No. 192.
Yours very truly,

ARCO Alaska, Inc. proposes to perforate selected intervals within the Sadlerochit
Sand for production from the Prudhoe Bay Unit. Upon perforating, the well will be
flowed to the flow station for clean-up and production. Should additional draw-
down be necessary to unload the wells, it may be flowed to a tank for initial
clean-up. All wireline work will be done through a 5000 psi WP BOP/Lubricator,
tested to 1.2 times the maximum expected surface pressure. The SSSV will be
installed at the conclusion of the perforating and clean-up operation.

limit is 45 seconds closing time and 1200
psi remaining pressure.
13-5/8' BOP Stack Test
1. Fill BOP stack and manifold with a non-freezing
liquid.
2. Check that all hold down screws are fully
retracted. Mark running joint with predeter-
mined plug seating depth. Run test plug on
drill pipe and seat in wellhead. Run in lock
down screws.
'3. Close annular preventer and chokes and bypass
valves on manifold.
4. In each of the following tests, first hold
a. 250 psi low pressure test for a minimum of
3, minutes, then test at the high pressure.
5. Increase presure to 3000 psi and hold for a minimum-o( 3 minutes. Bleed pressure to zero.
6. Open annular preventer and close top set of
pipe rams. Increase pressure to 5000 psi
and hold for at least 3 minutes. Bleed pres*
sure to zero.
7. Close valves directly upstream of chokes and
open chokes. Increase pressure to 5000 psi
& hold for at least 3 minutes. Bleed pressure
to zero.
8. Open top set of pipe rams then close bottom set
of pipe rams. Increase pressure to 5000 psi
below the bottom set of pipe rams and hold for
at least 3 minutes.
g. Test remaining untested manifold valves {if
any) with 5000 psi upstream of valve and zero
pressure downstream.
10 Bleed pressure to zero. Open bottom set of pipe
11. Back off running joint and pull out of hole.
Close blind rams and test to 5000 psi for'~
least 3 minutes.
12. Bleed pressure off all equipment. Open blind
rams. Make sure manifold and lines are full of
non-freezing liquid and all valves are set in
drilling position.
13. Test standpipe valves to 5000 psi.
14. Test Kelly cocks and inside BOP to 5000 psi with
Koomey pump.
15. Check operation of Degasser.
16. Record test information on blowout preventer
test form. Sign and send to Drilling Super-
visor.
17. Perform complete 80PE test once a week and
functionally operate 8OPE daily.
