When a Form 10 -403 is submitted requesting approval to plug a well for redrill, the initial reviewer (Art or Steve D.) will check to make sure that the "Plug for Redrill" box in the upper left corner of the 403 form is checked. If the "Abandon" box is checked, we will cross that erroneous entry out and initial it on both copies of the Form 10 -403 (AOGCC's and operator's copies). 2. On the Form 10 -403 if "Abandon" is checked in Box 15 (Well Status after proposed work), Art or Steve D. will cross that erroneous entry out and initial it on both copies of the Form 10 -403 (AOGCC's and operator's copies). Instead, we will check the "Suspended" box. Guy and Winton will serve as quality control for steps 1 and 2. 3. When Steve McMains receives the Form 10 -403 with a check in the "Plug for Redrill" box, he will enter the existing code "IBPRD" into RBDMS. This code automatically generates a comment under the History tab stating "Intent: Plug for Redrill." 4. When Steve McMains receives any Form 10 -407, he will check the History tab in RBDMS for this comment. If he sees the "Intent: Plug for Redrill" code, and cannot find any evidence that a subsequent re -drill has been COMPLETED, he will assign a status of SUSPENDED to the well bore in RBDMS, no matter what status is listed on the 10 -407. Steve will also change the status on the 10 -407 form to SUSPENDED, and will date and initial his change. If Steve does not see the "Intent: Plug for Redrill" comment or code, he will enter the status listed on the Form 10 -407 into RBDMS. 5. When the Form 10 -407 for the redrill is received, Steve M. will change the original well's status from suspended to abandoned. 6. The first week of every January and July, Steve M. and Steve D. will check the "Well by Type Work Outstanding" user query in RBDMS to ensure that all of the Plug for Redrill wells have been handled properly. At this same time, Steve M. and Steve D. will also review the list of suspended wells for accuracy. Pull SSSV. 3e Obtain a maximum rate test with wide open choke. Verify that there is no substantial leakage from the tubing to the inner annulus that would allow the placement of treatment fluids into the annulus. TREATMENT 1. Mix or obtain the following fluids (see the treatment fluid preparation attachment): a. 50 bbl 15% HCl/xylene b. +50 bbl Diesel Note: Filter all fluids that are to enter the perfs to 3 microns, preferably on the fly while pumping the job. Fluids containing diverter materials should be filtered prior to adding the diverter. Shut off the gas lift gas 4-6 hours prior to pumping the job. Shut in the well. Rig up a CTU and pump van. Attach a swirl nozzle to the CT to provide maximum jetting action. Attach a fusible cap to the SSV. Ensure a check valve is installed between the CTU and the pump van. Pressure test to 4000 psi. RIH pumping diesel as necessary to maintain CT pressure. Pump 50 bbl 15% HCl/xylene at maximum rate while reciprocating across the perfs. Start near the bottom of the perfs and adjust running speed so that at least one up and one down pass are made across the perfs while jetting the acid. Note: Attempt to pump the job observing a maximum injection gradient of 0.60 psi/ft. However, if it is necessary to exceed the gradient to complete the job, do not hesitate to do so. Since July, 1986, when the well first came on production, it has shown an API number of 029-2072900. That well was abandoned September 27, 1984. The API number should be and, in the future, will be reported as 029-2141900. -- Sincerely yours, Mark C. We did not experience any surface gas during the drilling of the 17-1/2" hole on Well S-18 and believe it unnecessary to continue the use of the 20" Hydril diverter system on Pad S.
