A cement retainer was set at 1460' and 1775 cu. ft. of Arcticset II was pumped with good returns to surface. RIH and tagged cement at 1+4~45q' Drilled cement and cement retainer to 1550'. Pressured up on casing~v~O psi and lost pressure to 250 psi. A decision was made at this point to abandon rather than attempt to squeeze perforations in order to achieve a 1000 psi pressure test on these perforations as required by A.O.G.C.C. Verbal approval to abandon R-26 was received from Blair Wonzell on 1/31/86. Displaced hole wi th high vis mud from 2500' to 1600'. Laid 208 cu. ft. Arcticset II from 1610' to 1360'. Displaced from 1610' to surface wi th 9.6 ppg NaC1. Tagged cement plug at 1453'. Pressure tested casing to 3000 psi. Laid 80 cu. ft. Arcticset II cement plug from 1453 to 1357'. Removed wellhead. Laid 123 cu. ft. Arcticset II cement plug from 150' to surface. As per 20 AAC 25.120, Sohio is requesting approval to install a flat steel plate upon which the required well information will be bead-welded rather than a vertical marker post.
