I Liner Isolation Plug-back 10-8-88 With the drilling rig on well, the well having previously been killed with brine, the 3-1/2" tubing was pulled and layed down. A 9-5/8" scrapper run was made before setting an EZ Drill 10' above the 3-1/2" SBR at 10630' (10-9-88). 19 bbls of neat G cement was squeezed below the retainer followed by 10 bbls of cement dropped on top. The calculated bottom of cement is 11244' and the calculated top of cement is 10493' (see attached diagram). 9-5/8" Kick Off Plug 10-10-88 A 9-5/8" EZ Drill was set at 8083' (241' below the bottom of the milled window) before milling a window in the 9-5/8" casing from 7782'-7842' (10-11-88 to 10-12-88). Before setting a kick-off plug the milled casing cuttings/junk was pushed/milled to 7902' (60' below the bottom of the window). Two attemps were required to set a successful kick-off plug. The first plug consisting of 182 Cuft of neat G was set on 10-14-88 from 7902'. This plug was tagged at 7847' (5' below the bottom of the window). The second plug consisting of 182 Cuft of neat G was was set on 10-16-88 from 7847' and tagged at 7458' (324' above the top of the window) on 10-17-88. This plug was polished off to 7797' before kicking off with a motor assemly to drill well Y-22A. The well will be killed with 9.2 ppg brine, and the tubing and annulus displaced to brine with a diesel cap. Move in rig. Install blowout prevention equipment consisting of 5000 psi W.P. pipe rams, blind rams, and annular preventer. Maximum possible bottomhole pressure is 4390 psi at 8800' TVDss based on original reservoir pressure. Maximum possible surface pressure is 3300 psi based on a gas column to surface from 8600' TVDss and an oil column to 8800' TVDss. Displace deisel cap to 9.2 ppg brine and pull existing 3-1/2" tubing from the well. Run a 9 5/8" casing scraper to the top of the SBR. Squeeze one complete liner volume of cement through the retainer to sueeze off the perforations, leaving 50' of cement on top of the cement retainer (See diagram). WOC. RIH and tag cement. Test cement plug to 3000 psi. Mill a 60' section of the 9-5/8" casing from 7773' MD to 7833' MD. Lay a 250' balanced, cement kick-off plug across the milled section and polish off to the kick-off point of 7790' MD. Change over to 9.5 ppg oil base 'mud.
