FOR SIDETRACK CEMENT PLUG
3/29/95 A Cement Plug Lay was peformed on the interval using
the following fluids:
SUMMARY
Run in hole with double ended mule shoe. Tagged T.D. at 11370ftMDCTU.
Performed Injevctivity test at 4bbls/min at 1300psig. Pumped 5bbls of Fresh
water spear,12bbls of class G cement and a 5bbl fresh water spacer, displaced
with sea water. Could not get a electronic pressure response on well head
pressure in unit. Found hose from sending unit to CTU cab evacuated but
1000psig on BOP gage. Shut down pumps. Reestablished pumping but the only
response was an increase in inner annulus pressure. POH and rigged down. Did
not freeze protect well or flowline due to the fact CTU or cut & Kill operation
will be back on well in 24hrs.Estimated cement top is at 11035ftmdbkb.

Friday, April 21, .1995: I traveled to BPX PBU Y - 21 well to witness the BOPE
test on Nabors 28E.
As the attached BOPE test form indicates, there were no equipment failures.
However the test took 6 hours due to a bad test plug sealing rubber, The rig did
not have a spare so we had to wait for one to be delivered from Deadhorse.
SUMMARY: Witnessed BOPE Test at BPX PBU Y- 21 well on Nabors 28E

REMARKS:
The longer than normal test was a result cfa bad test plug rubber. The test had to be delayed untg a new

Plugback Operational Summary
1. Notify an AOGCC representative prior to commencing operations.
2. RU CTU. RIH to +_ 11,370' (last tag on 11/93). Lay a cement plug from 11,370' to 10,700'.
Pull out of cement & downsqueeze cement leaving a top of cement at _+ 10,900'.
· Have AOGCC representative on location during cement P&A operations.
3. RU wireline unit and tag top of cement and ensure the cement top is 100' above the top
perforation at 11,050'.
4. Jet cut the 3-1/2" tubing at the first full joint above the sliding sleeve at 9,805' in the
middle of a joint.
5. Circulate well over to seawater. Freeze protect well with diesel to 2,000'.
6. Bleed any pressure from the tubing, inner annulus and outer annulus to zero.
7. Install a BPV and test same to 1,000 psi against the cement plug. Remove the well house
and flowlines. Level the pad and dig out the cellar. Prepare the pad for arrival of the rig.
8. Move in Drilling Rig. Ensure the well is dead before ND tree and NU BOPE.
9. Pull 3-1/2" L-80 EUE 8RD tubing. Set 9-5/8" bridge plug @ _+9,250' md.
10. Prepare for sidetrack operations.

164 bbls. 6% HC1 - 1.5% HF
170 bbls. 3% NH4CI brine
24 bbls. xylene w/mutual solvent
Displaced to perfs with 97 bbls. produced water
The well was returned to production immediately following the treatment, then
tested.

following perforated interval in Well Y-21.

If the mud acid wash is successful, the following scale inhibition treatment will be
performed:
10 bbls. diesel preflush w/mutual solvent
35 bbls. EDTA solution w/diverter
131-157 bbls. scale inhibitor solution w/diverter

Displace to perfs with seawater
After a 24-hour shut-in period, the well will be returned to production and tested.

Dear Mr. Tyler:
By letter dated'September 24, 1986, Standard Alaska Production
Company has requested waivers of productivity profiles required
by Conservation Order 165, as amended by Conservation Order
No. 213, in wells JX-2, B-30, Y-20, G-29, G-27 and Y-21.
The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has reViewed the
need for productivity Profiles in these wells. The Commission
has determined that these data are not necessary for proper
monitoring of the Prudhoe Oil Pool performance.
Therefore, by administrative approval authorized by Conservation
Order 213, Rule 2, the Commission waives productivity profile
~requirements in Prudhoe Bay Unit wells JX-2, B-30, Y-20, G-29,
G-27 and Y-21.

equipment so that a representative of the Commission may be
present to witness testing of the equipment before the surface
.casing shoe is drilled. ~ere a diverter system is required,

In accordance with the Prudhoe Bay Field Rules and Sohio's policy for
drilling the first well on a new pad or a pad previously drilled, a 20"
Hydril diverter system was used when drilling the surface hole on Well
Y-22 (44-29-11-13) PBU.
We did not experience any surface gas during the drilling of the 17-1/2"
hole on Well Y-22 and believe it is unnecessary to continue the use of
the 20" Hydril diverter system on Pad Y. We, therefore, request that
Rule 4(b) of Conservation Order No. 145 be waived for Y Pad.

Znstall and cement 80' of 20" insulated conductor to surface;
Drill 17-1/2" hole to 2700' MD. Set and cement 13-3/8" 72~ L-80 Buttress
casing to surface.
Install blowout prevention equipment consisting of 5000 psi W.P. pipe
rams, blind rams, and annular preventer. Maximum possible bottomhole
pressure is 4390 psi at 8800' TVDss based on original reservoir pres-
sure. Maximum possible surface pressure is 3300 psi based on a gas col-
umn to surface from 8600' TVDss and an oil column to 8800' TVDss.
Oirectionally drill 12-1/4" hole to 4470' MD (41.7°). Maintain angle at
41.7° to KOP ~2 at 10932'.MD, 8525' 1T~,D. Kick off and build 2-1/2°/100
ft to 80° at the 9-5/8" casing point above the top of the Sadlerochit
Sandstone. Run 9-5/8" 47# L-80 Buttress and NSCC casing (above 4500'
TVD) to within 5' of 12-1/4" TD. Cement in two stages': First stage us-
ing Class G cement around the 9-5/8" shoe. The second stage to be down-
squeezed in the 13-3/8" x 9-$/8" annulus followed by nonfreezing fluid.
Change over to oil based mud. Directionally drill 8-1/2" hole maintain-
ing an 80' hole angle to TD. Log 8-1/2" hole with drtllpipe conveyed
logging tools. Run 7" liner from 250' inside 9-5/8" casing shoe to T.O.
and cement using Class G cement with 5% KCL. Rotate and reciprocate li-
ner during cementing.
Clean out to 7" float equipment. Test casing and lap to 3000 psi. Ots-
place mud with NaC1 completion fluid. Run and retrieve perforating guns
on drill pipe or tubing.
Run 9-5/8" production packer on internal plastic coated tubing with a
sliding sleeve. Set packer $0' above top. of liner. A subsurface safety
valve with dual control lines will be placed 50' below base of perma-
frost. Install and test Xmas tree. Set and test packer. Displace tub-
ing to diesel through sliding sleeve.
