July 7, 1998 Allen Sherritt Doyon 9 Operations Drilling Engineer L2-08 Sundry P&A Operations Summary: Doyon 9 will be moving to Well L2-08 upon completion of Well L2-18A which is estimated to be completed on the 21'h of July. The following is an outline of the proposed Pre-Rig work needed to be done prior to Doyon 9 moving over the well. Also, included is an outline of the proposed rig operations for L2-08A. If you should have any questions please contact Allen Sherritt @ 564-5204 / 275-8726 / 243-6842. Pre-Rig Operations: The objective of the pre-rig work is to ascertain the condition of the 7 5/8" casing presently in the hole; pre- pare well to be P&A'd by rig; Chemical cut existing tubing in the first full joint above production packer; and test the 7 5/8" pack offs. 1. Notify AOGCC of initiation prior to commencing any P&A operations. 2. Do not start P&A operations without IPA "Ownership" Letter. 3. NU on Well. 4. Perform CMIT on 7 5/8" casing and 2 7/8" tbg to-3000 psi. IA/OA. 5. Bullhead Seawater down tubing to kill well and establish injectivity. 6. Spot LCM pill in open hole. 7. RIH and set blanking plug in "D" nipple @ - 10997'MD. -8. RIH and perform tubing punch from -10961'MD to -10997'MD, (below 7 5/8" packer and above blanking plug.) Note: Rig will P&A well. 9. RIH with chemical cutter and chemically cut tubing @ -10,926'MD (First full joint above 7 5/8" Packer.) Notify Ops. Drilling Eng. If unable to cut tubing @ desired depth. 10. Freeze protect tubing and annulus. 11. Test packoffs on tubing and 7 5/8" annulus, and carefully cycle Iockdown screws. Set BPV. 12. Clear location, dig out cellar, remove electrical lines, flow lines, and remove well house. 13. RDMO Rig Operations The rig will MIRU. Pull BPV. Circulate out freeze protection and circulate well with seawater. Set BPV. ND tree. NU BOP. Test BOP. Pull the tubing to the chemical cut above the production packer. Change packoff if failed in Pre-rig. RIH w/GR/JB to 10,350' MD. RIH and set 7 5/8" EZSV @ -10,300'MD on 4" DP. Pressure test casing to 3000 psi for 30 mins. Pump 266 sks. (55 bbls.) of class G, 15.8 ppg cement and displace TOC @ 10,525' MD. RIH and set 7 5/8" whipstock/milling as- sembly and set 25° left of highside. Displace to 4% KCI Quikdriln mud. Mill window to place KOP @ 10,270' MD. POOH and PU 6" kick off assembly with w/MWD/GR drill build & turn to horizontal @ -12,799'MD. PU BHA for horizontal section w/MWD/GR/RES and drill to TD -15,184'MD. Run 4 Y2" L-80 liner and set 7 5/8" x 4 Y2" hanger/packer TOL @ -10,120' MD with 2 X nipples. Cement via in- ner string. Perf as per asset direction. Complete with 3 GLMs, an X nipple and a SSSV on 4-W' tub- ing and set w/7 5/8" x 4 Y~" packer @ -10,066' MD. Freeze protect well.
