DOC PHONE NO.: 279-1433 SUBJECT: Perforation Isolation Cmt Plug BPX PBU E - 23 Well Prudhoe Oil Pool PTD No. 87-115 ..Thursday, August 26, 1993: I traveled this date to BPX PBU E - 23 well to witness the tagging with Wireline of the Perforation Isolation Plug. The top of the cement plug was tagged at 10,961; the tubing tail locater was at 10,460 and the top perforations are from 11,537 to 11,512'. This well is schedule for a redrill for new bottom hole location later this year. Friday Au~u,,s,t 27,!993: I was contacted this date by Steve Farris, BPX representative, and informed that a pressure test would be performed on the cmt. plug. Due to other work I was unable to witness this pressure test, I requested that the test be recorded and a copy of the chart be held for me. As the attached AOGCC P & A form and Pressure Chad indicates,,the cement plug was tested with 1500 psi for 30 minutes with no pressure loss. Notify an AOGCC representative prior to commencing operations. Rig up coiled tubing unit. RIH w/coiled tubing, kill the well, and lay a cement plug starting from PBTD (11,564'MD). Squeeze down and leave the top of cement at least 100'MD above the top perforation (@ 11,512'MD) but below the tubing packer (@10,385'MD). RU slick line unit. RIH and tag cement top to ensure a minimum of 100'MD above the top of pedoration.. Note: Cement top tag to be witnessed by AOGCC representative. If the cement is tagged more than 100'MD below the tubing tail, set a magna- range plug in the tubing tail to prevent future fluid swap-out when lay a kick-off plug. RU E-line and RIH with cutter to make tubing cut in the first full joint above the packer @ +/- 10,350' MD. Circulate well over to filtered seawater and freeze protect the upper 2000' MD of the well with diesel Bleed tubing, inner annulus, and outer annulus to 0 psi. Set BPV. Remove the well house and flowlines. Level the pad and dig out the cellar if required. Prepare pad for sidetrack operation with drilling rig. Alaska 0il & Gas Cons. The program involves squeezing all perforations followed by reperforating A summary of the planned procedure is as follows: 10, 1, MIRU coiled tubing unit. 2, Acid wash the perforations. 3, Liquid pack the well and cool the reservoir. 4, Jet with surfactant to cleanse the perfs of oil carry over. 5. Cement squeeze all perforations up to 3500 psi differential. 6, Reverse out cement after holding squeeze for 30 to 40 minutes. 7, Reverse in nitrogen blanket for freeze protection. 8, Leave well with WHP sufficient to maintain 500 to 1000 psi positive differential at perforations for WOC period, 9. Inflow test well by releasing trapped nitrogen blanket. If no inflow is observed then reperforate 11,512-11,634MD BKB and return well to production.
