Re: E -25 Sundry Approval
WELL HISTORY:
E -25 was drilled /completed in Feb -1988. The well came on strong. The well then slowly increased in
GOR till a CIBP was set in Dec -1993. This had little effect on the GOR. A subsequent plug was set in
June -1994 which dropped the GOR, without damaging the oil rate. The well predictably slowly
increased in GOR in Oct -2000. Multiple plugs were set/milled, etc. for the next year plus, till May -
2002 when the right combination was found restoring the wells production. The well has slowly
increased to its current GOR.
REASON FOR SIDETRACK:
E -25 is not showing healing characteristics and has degraded to < 10 %. There are no further wellwork .
options on this well.
The proposed plan for E -25A is to drill a through tubing sidetrack with the SLB/Nordic 2 Coiled
Tubing Drilling rig on or around April 15, 2013. The existing perforations will be isolated by the
primary liner cement job. The sidetrack, E -25A, will exit the existing 5.5" liner, kick off and land in
the Ivishak Zone 1A, then toe up in mid Ivishak Zone 1B. The following describes work planned and
is submitted as an attachment to Form 10 -403. A schematic diagram of the proposed sidetrack is
attached for reference.

Subject: FW: INTENT PLUG for RE -DRILL WELLS: Corrected
From: Davies, Stephen F (DOA)
Sent: Monday, February 08, 2010 10:52 AM
To: Foerster, Catherine P (DOA); McMains, Stephen E (DOA); Schwartz, Guy L (DOA); Saltmarsh, Arthur C
(DOA); Aubert, Winton G (DOA)
Subject: RE: INTENT PLUG for RE -DRILL WELLS: Corrected
Revised procedure with an additional step per Cathy's comment:
INTENT PLUG for RE -DRILL WELLS
(IPBRD) Type Work Code in RBDMS
1. When a Form 10 -403 is submitted requesting approval to plug a well for redrill, the initial reviewer (Art
or Steve D.) will check to make sure that the "Plug for Redrill" box in the upper left corner of the 403
form is checked. If the "Abandon" box is checked, we will cross that erroneous entry out and initial it on
both copies of the Form 10 -403 (AOGCC's and operator's copies).
2. On the Form 10 -403 if "Abandon" is checked in Box 15 (Well Status after proposed work), Art or Steve
D. will cross that erroneous entry out and initial it on both copies of the Form 10 -403 (AOGCC's and
• operator's copies). Instead, we will check the "Suspended" box. Guy and Winton will serve as quality
control for steps 1 and 2.
3. When Steve McMains receives the Form 10 -403 with a check in the "Plug for Redrill" box, he will enter
the existing code "IBPRD" into RBDMS. This code automatically generates a comment under the History
tab stating "Intent: Plug for Redrill."
4. When Steve McMains receives any Form 10 -407, he will check the History tab in RBDMS for this
comment. If he sees the "Intent: Plug for Redrill" code, and cannot find any evidence that a subsequent
re -drill has been COMPLETED, he will assign a status of SUSPENDED to the well bore in RBDMS, no
matter what status is listed on the 10 -407. Steve will also change the status on the 10 -407 form to
SUSPENDED, and will date and initial his change. If Steve does not see the "Intent: Plug for Redrill"
comment or code, he will enter the status listed on the Form 10 -407 into RBDMS.
5. When the Form 10 -407 for the redrill is received, Steve M. will change the original well's status from
suspended to abandoned.
6. The first week of every January and July, Steve M. and Steve D. will check the "Well by Type Work
Outstanding" user query in RBDMS to ensure that all of the Plug for Redrill wells have been handled
properly. At this same time, Steve M. and Steve D. will also review the list of suspended wells for
accuracy.
Thanks,
Steve D.

STANDARD
ALASKA PRODUCTION
A-A
Dear Mr. Chatterton:
Standard Alaska Production Company is requesting administrative approval,
as outlined in Conservation Order No. 213, Rule 2, to waive productivity
profile requirements for new high angle wells~and E-28. Both wells
were drilled with "inverted" high angle wellbores (see Attachment).
At present we are closely monitoring the production behavior of wells
E-25 and E-28. While we believe it is possible to run a coiled tubing
conveyed suite of production logs for these wellbore geometries, we do
not believe at present that the value of the information obtained
justifies the Costs and risks involved. While 1210 and 755 gross feet of
perforations are open, only 94 and 93 vertical feet of the reservoir is
exposed to E-25 and E-28 wellbores respectively. In the future, if
production characteristics change sufficiently to warrant some kind of
remedial work, it is likely that we would obtain these production logs.
If you require further information to support these requests, please do
not hesitate to contact J. T. Brown at (907) 564-4629.
Very truly yours,
T. N. Tyler, Manager,
Reservoir Surveillance

WELL z-25 [ 24- 6-11-i4 ] PSU
Install and cement 80' of 20" conductor to surface.
The drilling fluid program will consist of an 8.5-9.5 ppg spud mud
in the 17-1/2" hole, a 9.0-9.7 ppg water base mud in the 12-1/4"
hole and a 9.2 ppg water base mud in the 8-1/2" hole.
Drill 17 1/2" hole to 2700' and cement 13 3/8" L-80
casing to surface. '
Buttress
Install blowout prevention equil~ent consisting of 5000 psi W.P.
pipe rams, blind rams, and annular preventer. Maximum possible
bottomhole pressure is 4]90 psi at 8800' TVDss based on original
resevoir pressure. Maximum possible surface pressure is ]]]0 psi
based on a gas column to surface from 8600' TVDss and an oil coltam~
to 8800' TVDss.
Directionally drill 12 1/4" hole to the 9-5/8" casing point above
the Sadlerochit Sandstone. Run 9 5/8" 47# L-80 Butt/NSCC casing to
within 5' of 12 1/4" TD and cement in two stages: First stage using
Class G cement around the 9 5/8" shoe. The second stage to be
downsqueezed in the 13 3/8" x 9 5/8" annulus followed by nonfreezing
fluid.
Directionally drill 8 i/2" hole to TD. Run 5 i/2" liner from TD to 250'
inside 9 5/8" casing shoe and cement using Class G cement.
Clean out to 5 '1/2" float equipment. Change over to 9.6 ppg. NaCl
completion fluid. Test casing and lap to 3000 psi.
Run 9 5/8" production packer on internal plastic coated tubing with
a sliding sleeve. Set packer 50' above top of liner. A subsurface
safety valve with dual control lines will be placed 50' below base
of permafrost. Install and test Xmas tree. Displace tubing to
diesel. Set and test packer.
Shut down rig operations for perforating subsequent to rig release.
The well will be perforated in accordance with normal practices.
