Ciroulated 1:31 bbl down ¢oil while RIH. Took returns clown flowline to warm up well. Got 110+ F on the S-riser and saw an lAP pressure increase indicating that we had warmed things up. Shut down for dry tag and bled lAP from 1100 to 750. Ran in past sliokline tags and tagged $W$ plug at 10,999 CTD. No ¢orreotion made. Pumped another 115 bbl while on bottom. Took returns for 20 minutes and shut wing. Reduced rate to 0.5 BPM while mixing cement. Observed SIWHP of approx 250 psi. Laid in cement from 10,988, used wing to maintain WHP at 500 psi. Shut down for a 10 minute hesitiation after cement plus 5 bbl EW were out nozzle. POOH while pumping enough to replace coil voidage. "Worst case" top of cement is 10,253'. Supervisor FROM: ~u Grimaldi Petroleum Inspector PHONE NO.: 279~-1433 SUBJECT: Wellbore Plug -Perforations BPX well #Z-32 Prudhoe Bay Field PTD # 89-26 Friday August 6 1993 I verified the placement of the cement plug at the perforations in BPX well #Z-32. When ! arrived, the wireline unit was rigging up. The top of cement was tagged at 10,148 (W.L.M.) with the top of perforations at 10,944'(E.L.M.) I corrected this back to rig measurement's to be 10,164 leaving 780 feet of cement above the top perforation. The plug appeared to be solid, when we picked up off of the plug it was smooth with no sticking observed. The plug was then pressure tested to 1900 P.S.I. and again tagged at the same spot. SUMMARY; I witnessed the verification of placement of the perforation's plug in BPX well #Z-32 in the Prudhoe Bay Field. The SCODe: The scope of the Z-32A redrill is as follows: Plug and abandon the original perforations and pull the existing 4-1/2", 13CR-80 tubing completion . Mill a 50' section in the 9-5/8" casing starting at +8,900' MD. Lay a cement plug across the section, kickoff and drill a new 8- 1/2" hole to a target about 427' to the south of the original wellbore. Obtain E-line (DIL/BHCS/SP/GR/CNL) logs. Run and cement a 7" 29# 13CR x L-80 liner. Clean out to the landing collar. Recomplete with the original 4-1/2" 13 Cr tubing and prepare well for post- rig perforation. Timinq: This project is presently scheduled for Doyon Rig #14 on or about 08AUG93. should take approximately 12 days. The redrill J U L 3 0 1993 A{aska Oil & Cas Cons. UoFr~rF~issio~ Anchorage Z-32A SUNDRY APPROVAL APPLICatION PLUG-BACK SUMMARY PROCEDURE To prepare for the Z-32A redrill, the following actions will need to be taken prior to the rig move: 1. Notify an AOGCC representative prior to commencing plug-back operations. . Run in with coil tubing while circulating seawater. Lay a cement plug starting from PBTD. Squeeze down and leave the top of cement at least 100' above the top perforation but below the packer. According to records PBTD is cement at 10,994' md. Top perf at 10,944' md and 9-5/8" x 4-1/2" TIW MODEL HBBP packer at 10,047' md. WLEG at 10,147' md. 3. With AOGCC representative on location to witness operation, run in with slickline and confirm that top of cement is at least 100' above the top perforation. 4. WLIH in and cut the tubing in the first full joint above the packer based upon the original completion tubing tally. NOTE: Middle of first full joint estimated at _+9,982' md. 5. Circulate well over to seawater. If the rig is going to move in within a couple of days do not freeze protect. Otherwise freeze protect well with diesel to 2000'. 6. Bleed any pressure from the tubing, inner annulus and outer annulus to zero. 7. Install a back-pressure valve. Remove the well house and flowlines. Level the pad and dig out the cellar. Prepare the pad for arrival of the rig. RECE V[D J U L ~ 0 199~ Alaska 0il & Gas Cons. The program involves squeezing all perforations followed by reperforation. A summary of the planned procedure is as follows: 1. MIRU coiled tubing unit. 2. Liquid pack the well to cool the squeeze interval. 3. Cement squeeze all perforations up to 3500 psi differential. 4. Reverse out cement after holding squeeze for 30 to 40 minutes. 5. Reverse in nitrogen for inflow test and to underbalance for perforating. 6. Leave well with sufficient WHP to maintain !000 psi positive differential at perforations for WOC period. 7. Chatterton, Chairman Oil and Gas Conservation Commission State of Alaska 3001 Porcupine Drive Anchorage, Ak. 99501 Dear Mr. Chatterton: BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. 900 East Benson Boulevard RO. Box 196612 Anchorage, Alaska 99519-6612 (907) ~-5m · -'~ /' ~-' ~.~ o]~.., BP Exploration is requesting administrative approval, as outlined on Conservation Order No. 213, Rule 2, to waive productivity profile requirements for three new wells. A waiver is requested for the following wells perforated in one single interval: Z-24 (31' TVD), Z-25 (26.' TVD) and Z-32 (28' TVD). In these cases, the value of obtaining a production profile would be limited. We are monitoring the production behavior of these wells. If production characteristics change sufficiently to warrant some kind of remedial work, we would obtain any required production logs at that time. If you require further information, please contact S. L. Bryant at (907) 564-4203. .~, Very truly yours, T. B. Gray, Manager, Reservoir Surveillance TBG:DMH:dmh cc: R.E. MacDougal (Exxon) D.F.
