The following summarizes the procedure required to prepare F-26 for sidetracking and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. Schematic diagrams of the proposed cement squeeze and sidetrack completion are attached. 1. A tubing integrity test has been successfully performed. 2. Tubing and liner have been drifted with a 3.65" OD drift. 4. Kinley caliper has been run over the proposed whipstock interval to confirm tubing condition. 5. A mechanical whipstock will be set on e-line at approx. 10,314', approx. 28 ft above the uppermost perf to be abandoned. 6. Service coil will be used to downsqueeze cement to abandon existing perforations in the 5 1/2" liner. Approx. 20 bbls cement will be used. A 1500 psi pressure test will be performed with AOGCC witness prior to milling the window. Abandonment cement downsqueezed past whipstock. , .' . To: Blair Wondzell AOGCC From: Ted Stagg CT Drilling Eng. Sept. 14, 1998 Re: CT Sidetrack of F-26 I have just learned of a planned TAPS shut down on Sept 24 to be followed by a 6 day shut down of GC-1. Crews and equipment for normal well work will be in short supply during this shut down and for several days following re-start of GC-1. Because of this I would like to start the abandonment work on F-26 by Friday Sept. 18 or Sat. Sept. 19 if the approval process can be completed by that time. In addition, problems are currently being experienced on the next well currently scheduled for CTD, J- 15a. All permits are in place and prep work has started on J- 15. However, the whipstock is currently stuck above the whipstock anchor and a fishing operation has been in progress for the past 3 days. If this problem cannot be resolved soon then the fallback would be to move onto F- 26. For these reasons I regretfully ask that the permits for F-26a be processed by this weekend, if possible. Perform pre-workover mud acid stimulation. 2. Rig up CTU and support equipment and pressure test BOPs to 4000 psi. 3. Pump cement and squeeze existing perforations and channel. 4. Reverse out cement after the squeeze is obtained. Wait overnight, then test squeeze by performing an inflow test. If squeeze fails, immediately resqueeze. 5. If squeeze is successful, perforate the following intervals (ref: 12/8/89 BHCS): 10349' - 10359' MDBKB 10418'- 10425' MDBKB 10454' - 10468' MDBKB 6. Return the well to production and test. 7. If the well will not return to production and/or sustain production, a perforation acid wash may be performed.
