.. Plug and Abandonment Operations Summary
Upon completion of the drilling phase to the target bottom hole location and
conditioning' of the borehole, open hole logging surveys were run. At the
conclusion of logging the logging sonde became stuck at the top of the
Sadlerochit. E-line cable was stripped over to the fish and the upper 22 ft. of the
logging sonde was recovered. The next fishing BHA run made up to recover the
rest of the fish encountered an obstruction at the bottom of the whipstock. After
repeated unsuccessful attempts to find the sidetrack original hole the decision
was made to plug and abandon the well. Verbal approval to plug and abandon
was received from Blair Wonzell, AOGCC.
An EZSV was set at 9792' and 31 bbls of Class "G" cement were pumped.
A waiver was obtained from Blair Wondzell for the requirement to install the
uphole bridge plug at 200'-300' in order to redrill the well to a revised target.
A new permit will be submitted shortly for 14-2B.

Perforation Cement Plug
Arco PBU DS14-2A
Prudhoe Oil Pool
PTD No. 93-168
Tuesday, December 7, 1993: I traveled to Arco's PBU DS14-2A well to witness the
tagging of a perforation cement plug for the temporary P & A of this well. The well was
abandoned after an unsuccessful fishing operation failed to remove all components of
a Neutron Logging Tool. The Source was removed from the wellbore however 73' of
the tool was cemented up in the abandoned bottom hole.
The first attempt at tagging the isolation cement plug was unsuccessful. We RIH with
drill pipe and stinger to 9,792', setting depth of the EZSV retainer and found no cement.
We stung into the EZSV with the mud pumps running and immediately saw a pressure
increase, indicating a successful cement squeeze job below the EZSV.
Additional cement was ordered to lay the 75' cement plug on top of the EZSV.
Wednesday, December 8, 1993: I returned to DS14-2A well a 1:00 a.m. and
witnessed the tagging of the cement plug laid on top of the EZSV retainer. The cement
plug was tagged with 10,000 pounds of drill string weight at 9,657', for a 135' plug.
Summary: I witnessed the tagging of the perforation and fish isolation plug at Arco
PBU DS14-2A well. TOE; @ 9,657'.

Dear Mr. Zanghi:
Enclosed is the approved application for permit to redrill the above
referenced well.
The permit to redrill does not exempt you from obtaining additional
permits required by law from other governmental agencies, and does not
authorize conducting drilling operations until all other required
permitting determinations are made.
Blowout prevention equipment (BOPE) must be tested in accordance with
20 AAC 25 035. Sufficient notice (approximately 24 hours) must be given
to allow a representative of the Commission to witness a test of BOPE
installed prior to drilling new hole. Notice may be given by contacting
the Commission petroleum field inspector on the North Slope pager at
659-3607.

SUMMARY PROCEDURE:
RU Atlas wireline and Icg with the triple combo (GR/Micro SFL/DLL/BHCS/4-Arm
Caliper). Upon completion of logging make wiper trip prior to running 7" liner.
(Note: Use four arm caliper to calculate your cement volumes)
Run 7" 29# 13CR80 NSCC standard liner assembly to TD with liner top packer
and +/- 150' lap. XO to 7" 29# L80 liner +/- 300' md above Sadlerochit top @

Cement liner calculating cement volume by using information obtained from 4-Arm
caliper run while logging. L/D extra 5" DP - that will not be required for clean out
run. Use 20% excess over caliper volume for open hole.
Clean out liner to PBTD and test to 3500 psi. Change over to clean inhibited
seawater.
RIH with 4-1/2" 12.6# 13CRL80 NSCT completion string w/7" packer
positioned +/-.200' md above top of Sadlerochit. Sadlerochit top is estimated
@ 10633md/87283 tvd.. ( Reference DS 14-02A completion diagram in Well
Plan attachments ).
M/U tubing hanger - test SSSV lines to 5000 psi for 10 mins. Orient SSSV
balance line towards reserve pit. Land tubing hanger and RILDS. Test tubing
hanger packoff to 5000 psi.
Back out & L/D the landing joint. Set blanking plug. N/D BOPE. N/U tubing
head adaptor and 6" tree. Test control lines to 5000 psi. Test 6" tree and
adaptor to 5000 psi. Pull the test plug with a lubricator.
Pressure up on the 4-1/2" 12.6# 13CR80 tubing to 4000 psi to set the
production straddle packer(s). Maintain tubing pressure at 4000 psi for 30
minutes after setting packer(s) and record as the tubing test.
Bleed off 4-1/2" tubing pressure to +/- 1500 psi. Pressure test tubing x 9-5/8"
annulus to 3500 psi for 30 minutes. Record the test on a Barton chart. Bleed off
the annular pressure prior to bleeding off the tubing pressure. Bleed off the
tubing pressure.
Pressure up to 2900 psi on the annulus to shear out the RP valve in the top
GLM position. Displace the tubing w/enough diesel to freeze protect the
annulus to 2000'. Allow the diesel to U-tube to the tubing. If possible have the
well freeze protected by gas by the PE's in the WOA or Drill Site Maintenance
in the EOA. A potential gas source nearby will be required - high GOR well or
artificial gas lift line.

REMARKS:
I ,'
LOGS WITNESSED BY: M. ZANGHI & R. REINTS.
CIRCULATION STOPPED AT 06: 00, 02-DEC-93.
THE MAIN PASS & REPEAT PASS WERE RECORDED WHILE GOING
DOWN INTO THE HOLE. THE MLL MANDREL WAS CLOSED WHILE
GOING IN THE HOLE SO THERE WAS NO MLL OR CALIPER
RECORDED FOR EITHER THE MAIN OR REPEAT PASS.
AN UP PASS WAS ATTEMPTED & PRESENTED BUT WAS SUBJECT TO
EXCESSIVE STICK & PULL. THE MLL & CALIPER WERE
RECORDED ON THIS UP PASS. THE MLL AFTER LOG CALIBRA-
TION WAS DONE WHILE TOOL WAS STUCK. THIS MAY ACCOUNT
FOR POOR AFTER LOG VERIFICATION. THE UP PASS CALIPER
DID NOT APPEAR TO BE LOGGING ON THE HIGH SIDE OF THE
HOLE.
THE ACOUSTIC MAIN PASS IS NOT VALID DUE TO TOOL SPEED AND A LOW GAIN SETTING (EXCESSIVE CYCLE SKIPPING).
THE ACOUSTIC REPEAT PASS DATA IS VALID & IS USED IN
THE FINAL EDITED DATA FILE FOR LDWG.
CALIPER BEFORE LOG CALIBRATION WAS DONE IN THE 9.625"
CASING DUE TO THE EXTREMELY COLD SURFACE TEMPERATURE.
LONG TOOL LENGTH PREVENTED VERTICAL CALIPER CALIBRA-
TIONS BEFORE RUNNING IN THE HOLE.
TOOL BECAME STUCK IN OPEN HOLE AT 10808' AFTER LOGGING.
NO AFTER LOG CALIBRATIONS WERE PERFORMED DUE TO
FISHING OPERATION.
NEUTRON LOG PARAMETERS:
SANDSTONE MATRIX,
CALIPER CORRECTION = 8.5",
CHISM FILTERING IS ACTIVE,
NO CASING OR SALINITY
CORRECTIONS APPLIED.
