The lithological evaluation was performed for the Horizontal / Slimhole section. The Engineer and Sample Catcher on location performed their duties on a twelve hour tour basis. The well has a 1987 cement squeeze which has repeatedly broken down, and no feasible fix has been found. A replacement wellbore will allow the reserves originally targeted by well 5-10 to be produced. Drilling this well horizontally will drain the reserves more effectively. Lay cement plug across perforations to at least 100' above top pedoration. Cut the 4-1/2" tubing near 8015' MD. Freeze protect and set a BPV. Test intermediate casing pack-off to 5000 psi. Move in drilling rig. Test 9-5/8" intermediate casing pack-off if not done during pre-rig work. Puli BPV. Circulate diesel freeze protection cap from well and recover for future use. Install a BPV and test tree plug. Remove the production tree. Install BOP's and test to 5000 psi. Remove the test plug and BPV. Puli and lay down the 4-1/2" tubing. Spot a 18 ppg pill on bottom and cut a 50' section in the 9-5/8" casing starting from about 7700'MD. Spot a balanced cement kick-off plug (180 cubic feet minimum) through open- ended drilipipe from 100' below the base of the section to 200' above the top of the section. Run in with an 8-1/2" Steerable drilling assembly and dress the cement to 5' below the section top. Kickoff and'directionally d-rill to the target with 90° hole angle at 8940'ss as per the attached directional plan. Obtain Direction ! GR / Resistivity / Neutron / Density formation evaluation logs while drilling starting from the top of the Sag River Fm. Run a 7" 29 # 13cr liner assembly to bottom in the 8-1/2" hole and up to 100" above the top of sand followed with 7" 29# L-80. Space the liner hanger (L-80) and top isolation packer (L-80) about 150' up inside the 9-5/8" casing. Cement the liner in place with the total cement volume based upon 60 % open- hole enlargement plus the 80' shoe volume, 150' lap volume and 150' excess on top of the liner with drillpipe in the hole. Re-test BOP's as needed. Run in with 6" steerable drilling assembly with direction / GR MWD on 4-1/2" x 3- 1/2" drillpipe. Test casing to 3500 psi for 15 min. before drilling out float shoe and 10' of new hole. Displace well with non-damaging (Fig-Pro Xanvis polymer) drilling fluid. See MI Drilling Fluids recommended displacement procedure. Drill approximately 8101 of 6" hole to TD as per Geologist / Operations Engineer onsite. Make a conditioning trip with a 6" hole-opener for the open hole section with a 7" casing scraper spaced to clean the liner. Install a .4.-1/2" NT-80S slotted liner with 4-1/2" X 7" packer / hanger. Run in on drilipipe with a 2-1/16" wash string inside the slotted liner. Space packer / hanger to be set within about 150' of the 7" liner shoe. Position packer above the 7" liner shoe and circulate. Set packer and test. Release from the packer / hanger and displace the drilling fluid with filtered seawater but no corrosion inhibitor. Retest 9-5/8" wellhead packoff and replace as needed. Run the 4-1/2" L-80 x 3-1/2" L-80 completion string assembly. Space out and circulate with corrosion inhibitor before setting the tubing packer. Install a BPV and test plug. Remove BOP's. Install and test the production tree to 5000 psi. Pull tree test plug and BPV. Test the tubing x casing annulus to 3500 psi for 30 minutes.
