The BOP test was started at 2330 hrs of the previous night and lasted approximately 4.5 hours. All equipment functioned and held propedy with'the exception of the IBOPPThe dg was in good shape and the crew seemed well acquainted with proper BOP test procedure. The H2S detectorsC~were tested and would not tdgger when the sample gas was applied. The methane detector,,~ould not be tested due to lack of sample gas. The area surrounding the dg was clean and ordedy providing good access to the dg. SUMMARY: I witnessed the weekly BOP test on Nabors dg #18-E ddlling BPX well #U-15. Test time 3.5 hours, 2 failures. Plug BPX PBU U-15 Prudhoe Oil Pool PTD No. 95-0078 Monday, June 26, 1995: ! witnessed the tagging of the open hole formation isolation plug at BPX PBU U-15 well. This well was 'plugged back due to less than expected oil column in the Sadierochit Formation. The well will be sidetracked to a new bottom hole location. We tagged the cement plug at 9,480 feet, with 20,000 pounds of drillstring weight. The top of the Sadierochit Formation is at 10,405 feet MD. A balanced kick off cement plug will be laid from 3,336' to 2,936 for the sidetrack. This plug will be +/- 100' inside the 10 314" casing. SUMMARY: Witnessed the tagging of the open hole formation isolation cement plug on BPX PBU U-15 well. Change over to filtered seawater completion fluid. Test casing and lap to 3500 psi. o Run 7-5/8" production packer on the 4-1/2", 12.6g, 13Cr-80 NSCT tubing, such that the tubing tail is above the Sag River.
