Cut 2 7/8" liner above bridge plug. OPERATIONS SUMMARY:. Rigged up SWS and HB&R. Load well with 340 bbls. seawater topped with 50 bbls. diesel. First attempt to set Baker 2 7/8" bridge plug failed due to a short in the Gun-GR tool. Changed out bridge plug due to damage sustained at top of liner. Second attempt to set bridge plug was successful. 2 7/8" Bridge Plug set @ 11,115' mdBKB. Pressure tested bridge plug to 2200 psig. Three PT cycles were conducted with the final test resulting in a slow leak off of less than I bbl./30 mins., from 2200 psig to 1850 psig. Consulted with Anchorage engineering and test was deemed sufficient. RD HB&R. RU and RIH with SWS 2 1/8" chemical cutter. Cut 2 7/8" liner @ 10,760'. POH. Severing head indicated good disbursement of chemical. RD SWS. Stab. RIH. 1325 Tagged up on liner top @ 10,086'. Made several attempts to get in liner. Sixth try bounced in. 1330 RIH to 11,295'. 1340 PUH logging initial tie-in pass (correction -3'). 1345 Log shoot pass and position CCL @ 11,101.5' (BP @ 11,115'). 1348 Attempt to set plug. Appears tools have short. Make three set attempts with no success. 1400 Flag line at 11,101.5' and POH. 1500 OOH. Lay down tools. Remove gun-GR sub. Inspect BP. Packer element is slightly extended making OD of BP = 2.35". Top slip shear pin is sheared. Appears BP was damaged while getting through liner top (although this has nothing to do with its failure to set). Call out new BP. 1530 Test gun-GR. Tool is shorted ... cause of failure to set. 1600 MU new BP. Leading edge of BP was cut at shop to increase taper. CCL to BP= 12.0'. 1615 PU tools. Stab. RIH. SIWHP= <50, lAP= 0, OAP= 0. 1714 At top of liner - went through top of liner with no problem. Flag line @ 10,760'. 1815 At surface. 1830 Break down tools. 1835 RU HB&R to IA. Pressure up to 1500 psig. 1900 Pressure up on tubing to 2200 psig (30 bbls.) Hold. IA to 1550 psig. Flag depth - good. Continue RIH to 10,820'. Pull initial tie-in pass (correct +2.5'). 2225 RIH to 10,825'. PUH logging shoot pass. CCL to severing head = 25.7'. Position CCL @ 10,734.3' (Cutter @ 10,760'). 2230 Fire cutter. Good electrical response at surface. Wait 3 min. Slack off. PUH - had to work free. 2235 Free. POH. 2310 At surface. Test BOPE 250/4000 psi - no failures. MU GS spear and BHA #1. RIH to 9000 feet displacing freeze protection diesel from well. Outside green tank full with freeze protect diesel/seawater. SD and order out vac truck to empty green tank. Clean tank & cont RIH with GS spear to fish at 10,074 ft. Latch fish and pick up clean. POOH with 2 7/8" liner. Lay out 22 2/3 its of recovered liner. Clean chemical cut on bottom of liner, liner very clean, no sign of cement, no corrosion. Rig up SWS E-line unit to run Baker Whipstock. Calibrate toolface indicator on catwalk. RIH with whipstock and setting tool on E-Line. Sat down with 3 5/8" OD whipstock assembly at 10,692 and 10,700 ft. Overpull picking up. Apparent cement sheath from 2 7/8" liner cement job. POOH with whipstock. Lay out whipstock and rig back SWS E-line unit. M/U Baker 6" underreamer and HP motor. RIH with underreamer BHA to cleanout cement sheath in liner. 02/15/00 2 10746' RIH with underreamer to 10250'. Underream in 7" liner to 10740'. SD pump and tag up on 2 7/8" liner stub. Correct depth to 10760'. Make 2 passes with underreamer 10755'-10650' pumping 2 FIoPro sweeps to clean hole. Got back some fines and balls of cement. Drop ball and pump down to open circ sub. POH circulating at 2.8 BPM to clean hole. OOH. LD underreamer. Stand back injector head. RU SWS E-Line. PJSM. MU whipstock on setting tool. RIH with whipstock on E line. Tie in to CBL/GR (- 2.5'). Run in and PU to setting depth. Set whipstock. Top @ 10726'. Orientation - 14 deg Left of highside. POOH. R/D SWS. M/U 3.8" window milling BHA #3. RIH with tandem 3.8" diamond mill and 3.8" string reamer on BHI, HP motor. Tag whipstock and correct CTD to 10,729 ft. Mill window at 2 FPH from 10729 - 10736 ft. Drill formation from 10736 - 10746 ft. Ream window area from 10726 - 10746 ft, ream up and down four times. Clean window. 02/16/00 3 11055' Back ream window. POH. MU parabolic mill and long string reamer. RIH and correct to flag (-35'). Run thru window dry and tag bottom. Ream window and had 1 stall. Work up and down thru window twice without pump - no problems. Window appears clean. Displace well to FIoPro mud. Lay out milling / reaming BHA. M/U drilling BHA #5. RIH with BHA #5. Shallow test MWD / orientor. RIH to window. Orient highside to get thru window. Tag bottom and correct depth. Drill ahead to 10761 '. Cannot get clicks with orienter. Pull up above window - still no clicks. SD pump at 10700' to get static PWD pressure data point. POH. Change out orienter to non locking version. LD shock sub - seal failure & no replacement tool available. RIH. Shallow test tools - OK. RIH to window. Orient highside and go thru window. Orient to 90L. Tag bottom & drill ahead to 11005'. Wiper trip up to window. 02/17/00 4 11172' Drill Zone 3 from 11,005 - 11,033 ft. Trip to window. Tied-in with CBL/GR, added 6 ft to CTD. Flagged CT. POOH. C/O bit. RIH with BHA #7. Stop at 6750 ft. Rig down time. Reel drive planetary gears failed. Replaced gears and drive motor on reel stand. Repairs complete at 19:30 hrs. RIH & correct depth to 10704' bit depth. Orient highside and go thru window. RIH to bottom. Drill ahead in Zone 3. Several stalls 11050-55' - somewhat better below that. Continue drilling ahead to 11172' (in to Top Zone 2). POH for new bit. The follOwing summarizes the procedure required to prepare C-19 for sidetracking and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. A schematic diagram of this proposed completion is attached. 1. A cement evaluation log has been run on the existing 2 7/8" liner of C-19a and found free pipe at approx. 10,765' MD. 2. A Tubing Integrity Test will be performed. 3. C-19a will be killed with seawater and E-Line used to set a bridge plug in the 2 7/8" liner just below the window at approx. 11,100' MD. The bridge plug and wellbore will be pressure tested to 2200 psi. 4. E-Line will be used to make a chemical cut of the 2 7/8" liner at approx. 10,760' MD. 5. Service coil will be used to latch the top of the 2 7/8" liner and confirm that the severed liner is free. 6. Drilling coil will rig up, test BOPE, and recover the 2 7/8" liner prior to setting a new whipstock at approx. 10,740' MD. Drilling coil will then mill a window and drill the sidetrack, C-19b, pending approval of the Permit to Drill. Step 3 is scheduled for Jan. 31, 2000 pending approval of the Sundry Notice. Window milling and drilling are scheduled to commence on Feb. 10, 2000. Was not getting required build- only getting 28 per 100 instead of anticipated. Also geologist reviewed 21N shale depth @ 11330 ft and estimated bottom of target sand could be as high as 8862 TVDss. Current mtr would put us at 90 degrees about 8875 TVDss. Decided to pull motor for higher builder to minimize potential shale drilling. Picked up 3 deg mtr with shorter bit to bend, new bit, and new orienter. RIH w/BHA #2. Tie-in to GR marker and subtract 27'. RIH and drill highside from 11396-490' into 13N (8866' TVD) as anticipated. POOH for BHA to drill 14P. 2/9/97 11858 Finish POOH for BHA. Change bit, mtr, and Sperry tools. RIH. Tagged btm. Corrected counter at 11490 ft. Orient and continue drilling with 0.65 deg motor. Drill horizontal from 11490-11693' in 14P, but had trouble maintaining 90 deg to stay above 13N. POOH for 1 deg motor. Drop ball to fire. Pump down w/FIo-Pro. No indication of ball on seat, no pressure increase. Pump at various rates-no progress. Drop second ball, no indication of ball on seat, no pressure increase. Freeze protect CT. POOH to check guns. 2/15/97 Pull wet string of 1-1/4 CS Hydril. Pull guns to surface-no holes. Inspect firing head-pins not sheared. Ball on seat-second ball on top of it.. Begin looking for leaks. Picked up injector head and Baker swivel. Pressure tested tools to 4000 psi-no leaks. Picked up Baker 2~1/8 disconnect used on top of guns. PT to 4000-no leaks. Re-build firing head. Run in Hydril string-checking every connection. Flushed hydril string with 2 volumes. Flushed MEOH from coil. TIH w/guns, re-tag to verify depth. Bottom shot at 12709'. Drop ball and pump down w/FIo-Pro. Reduce pump rate to 0.5 BPM at 50 Bbl pumped. No indication of ball on seat after calculated CT volume. Increase pump rate to 1.0 BPM. At 5.5 bbl over calculated volume, saw 250 psi pressure decrease, then built back up 100 psi. Had 3 bbl mud loss. Over-displace 1 CT volume. POOH. Guns had not fired. 2/16/97 Search for Schl. Perforating ball. Drift all 1-1/4" CS Hydril that was laid down on rack. Rigged up ball catcher and pumped TIW cementing dart through coil. Recovered very very small rock. No ball. Pumped 10 bbl water for turbulent flow @ 2.9 BPM- No ball. Check all hardline from ball drop in reel back to high pressure filter-no ball. Pump 1.5 inch drift ball through the coil. Recovered chunks of cement. Pump dart thru again, no recovery. PU CS Hydril, TIH w/guns. Tag up, Drop ball, pump down w/FIo-Pro. Bottom shot at 12709'. Ball on seat, sheared at 4300 psi. Appeared guns fired. Had 6-8000# overpull while coming out of liner. POOH, LD CS Hydril. Per Intervals 11664' - 11849'/12229' - 12459'1 12509' - 12709' 4 SPF. 2/17~97 Layed down 1-1/4 CS Hydril. The well is being sidetracked to achieve lower GOR production. This sidetrack will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1: Cut Window: Planned for 1/27/97. - The existing Ivishak perforations will be cement squeezed. - A whipstock will be set on ELine at approximately 11,105' MD. - Utilizing a conventional coil tubing unit, a window will be cut in the 7" liner and 10 ft of formation will be drilled. Phase 2: Drill Directional Hole: Planned for 2/1/97. - Directional drilling coil tubing equipment will be rigged up and utilized to ddll the directional hole as per attached plan to planned TD of 12,403' MD (8,870' TVDss). Mud Program: - Phase 1: Seawater - Phase 2: FIo-Pro (8.8 - 8.9 ppg) Casing Program: - 2 7/8", 6.16#, L-80, ST-L liner will be run from TD to approx. 10,154' MD and cemented with approx. 70 cu. ft. cement. The well will then be perforated with coil tubing conveyed guns. Well Control: - BOP diagram is attached. - Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 4000 psi. - The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2000 psi. Directional - See attachments. - Kick Off: 11,120' MD (8,659' TVD ss) - TD: 12,403' MD (8,870' TVD ss) - Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run.
