I've also updated the section milling procedure to include a cement kickoff plug across the window. Please not that I've added an additional step. K-07B was completed by coil tubing drilling in April of 1997 in zone 1. The well Immediately went to high GOR and has been cycled on a 3 on/12 off schedule since October of 1997. The decision has been made to abandon K-07B and sidetrack in an attempt to increase oil production and de- crease GOR. The K-07B horizontal sidetrack (K-07C) is intended to access additional reserves utilizing a hori- zontal well path in the Ivishak Zone 1. Nabors 7ES is expected to move to K-07B on/about No- vember 10, 1999 after completing the DS 5-16B sidetrack. The objective of the pre-rig work is to ascertain the condition of the well head and tree presently on the well; P & A open perforations with 15.8 ppg cement from 10,470' to 9,650' MD, out the 5-1/2'' tubing and test the 9 5/8" casing. The drilling objective of K-07C is to pull the existing 5-1/2" tubing, place a bridge plug in the 9-5/8" casing above the tubing cut at 7,300 MD, and section mill through 9-5/8" casing into the West Sak formation, then directionally drill to the top of the Sag River where a 7" drilling liner will be set. The well will be extended in 6-1/8' hole size to access the Zone 1 Ivishak targets. At TD a 4-1/2" pro- duction liner will be run and oemented and the well oompleted with 4-1/2" production tubing. Estimated pore pressure at 8800' TVDss is 3275 psi = 7.16 ppg mud weight. The maximum an- ticipated surface pressure is 2395 psi based on a full column of gas at 0.1 psi/ft. On March 30 the K-07A sidetrack was cemented back from 10,127 to 9820, approximately 10 feet below the window. Drilling to a new target location resumed on March 30 by kicking off the cement plug at 9827' MD. A completion report, form 407, will be submitted for K-07A. An application for a Permit To Drill, Form 401, for sidetrack K-07B is attached. Sincerely, Ted Stagg CT Drilling Engineer cc: Well File Petrotechnical Data Center ORI61NAL BPX K-07B Sidetrack Summary of Operations: Coil tubing sidetrack K-07A was drilled to target depth without encountering sufficient sand for a completion. K-07A was plugged back with cement and drilling to a new bottom hole location began on March 30, 1997. The new sidetrack is named K-07B as it originates approximately 17 feet from the window used for K-07A. K-07B will be drilled to a depth of 10,511' MD, 8920'ss. This target is further described on Form 401 and on the attached directional plan. Mud Program' - FIo-Pro (8.8 - 8.9 ppg) Casing Program: - 2 7/8", 6.16#, L-80, ST-L liner will be run from TD to approx. 9,430' MD and cemented with approx. 14.2 bbls. cement. The well will then be perforated with coil tubing conveyed guns. Well Control: - BOP diagram is attached. - Pipe rams, blind rams and the CT pack off will be pressure tested to 400 psi and to 4000 psi. - The annular preventer will be tested to 400 psi and 2000 psi. Directional - See attachments. -Window: 9,810' MD (8,504ss) - Kick Off from cement plug: 9,827' MD (8,521' TVD ss) - Planned TD: 10,511' MD (8,920' TVD ss) - Magnetic and inclination surveys will be taken every 30 ft. No gyro will be run. Logging - A Gamma Ray log will be run over all of the open hole section.
