This well was sidetracked as a horizontal in the southern area of E-pad targeting Zone lA sands in September of 1997. The well produced full time until October of 2000 when GOR became marginal. 315' of additional perforations in Zone lA were added in May of 2001 which allowed it to produce for 6 more months. An STP/MCNL in March of 2003 indicated the high gas rate was attributed to the location where the well toes up. A CIBP was set in June of 2003 but gas rate only decreased slightly and not to the level anticipated. Another CIBP was set in March of 2004 to shut off all production and 50' of Zone 1 B was shot. All production since has been from these 50' of perforations. It returned to full time production for two months before hitting marginal GOR's again. An MIT-IA passed to 3,000 psi and aMIT-OA passed to 2,000 psi both in August of 2009. REASON FOR SIDETRACK: Well E-02A has very little remaining value under current operating conditions. Over the last year it has had a recorded on time of 13°Io. Due to its increasing GOR it looks to receive less on time over the coming years. All sands in this well have been perforated and no viable wellwork options remain. - The proposed plan for E-02B is to drill a through tubing exit sidetrack with the SLB/Nordic 1 Coiled Tubing Drilling rig on or around March 20, 2010. The existing perforations will be isolated by a cast iron bridge plug (CIBP). The sidetrack, E-02B, will perform an exit in the existing 4-1/2" liner into Zone 4 and land in Zone 1. The plan is to complete the well with a 3-3/16" x 2-7/8" tapered liner that will be cemented and perforated. The following describes the work planned and is submitted as an attachment to Form 10-403. Schematic diagram of the proposed sidetrack is attached for reference. Pre-Rig Work: (scheduled to begin February 25, 2010) 1. S Caliper tubing and drift (done on 8/15/09) 2. This form is designed for submitting a complete and correct well completion report and log on all types of lands and leases in Alaska. ITEM 1.' Classification of Service Wells: Gas injection, water injection, steam injection, air injection, salt water disposal, water supply for injection, observation, injection for in-situ combustion. ITEM §: Indicate which elevation is used as reference (where not otherwise shown) for depth measurements given in other spaces on this form and in any attachments. ITEM 16 AND 24: If this well is completed for separate production from more than one interval (multiple completion), so state in item 16, and in item 24 show the producing intervals for only the interval reported in item 27. Submit a separate form for each additional interval to be separately produced, showing the data pertinent to such interval. ITEM 21: Indicate whether from ground level (GL) or other elevation (DF, KB, etc.). ITEM 23: Attached supplemental records for this well should show the details of any multiple stage cementing and the location of the cementing tool. ITEM 27: Method of Operation: Flowing, Gas Lift, Rod Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Submersible, Water Injection, Gas Injection, Shut-In, Other-explain. ITEM 28: If no cores taken, indicate 'none'. I arrived to find the rig ready to test. All BOPE equipment was tested and passed with the exception of the annular preventer which leaked and had to have the element changed. The third set of choke manifold valves had a slight leak and were cycled and retested "OK". The rig and its surrounding area were well kept and provided good access. Tim Krupa (Doyon Tooipusher) uses a sure and methodical test procedure that provides for a good test of the rigs BOP equipment. The AOGCC BOPE Test Report is attached for reference. The rig had just come out of the summer maintenance shut down. The rig was quite clean and had just received a new coat of paint in some areas. As noted on the BOPE test report 1 failure was observed (Blind shear rams) these were replaced with staight blind rams and testing was continued. The blind shear rams were rebuilt in Calgary, Alberta and "recertified" by the manufacturer Hydril. Recently I witnessed the BOPE test on Pool rig 7 after it also had been down for summer maintenance. The blind shear rams failed and were replaced with new blind shears, these also failed. Another Doyon rig #14 has also had a blind shear ram failure in the recent past. The manufacture has been contacted by Doyon inquiring about any unknown or unannounced design changes. Tim Krupa Doyon 9 Tool Pusher will be keeping the inspectors informed. Drillin Hazards/Contineencies Plan to kickoff in Sag River so all potential problem areas above this point are behind pipe. · Tight hole has been seen in the Sadlerochit on previous E-Pad wells. Mud will be treated with lubricants and to achieve low fluid loss, thin filter cake. · E Pad is not an H2S pad. The highest H2S level on the pad is from E-25 at 16 ppm in 5/95. · Although rare a E pad, lost circulation has been encountered when drilling the Sag River, Shublik and Sadlerochit formations on other E-Pad wells. Pump LCM as necessary to control losses. Disposal · Cuttings Handling: Cuttings should be hauled to the ball mill at CC-2A. Fluid Handling: Haul all drilling and completion fluids and other Class II wastes to CC- 2A for injection. Haul all Class I wastes to Pad 3 for disposal. In addition, haul all cuttings from drilling operations to CC-2A for disposal, except any metal cuttings which will be sent to the North Slope Borough. SUMMARY REDRILL PROCEDURE: Note: The wells' current BHL is no longer economic due to high GOR. It will be P&A'd by the rig prior to sidetrack operations. 1. Move in drilling rig. Remove tubing down to 9600' MD. 2. Set EZSV at ,-,9330'MD. Bullhead squeeze cement to P&A existing perforations (see separate P&A Sundry). 3. Tie back 7" casing from liner tieback sleeve at 8636'MD to surface to cover up leaking 9 5/8" casing. 4. Set whipstock at ,-,9300' kickoff in the Sag River with 6" bit/MWD/GR/Resistivity and drill/build to 11701' MD TD. 5. Run, cement, and perforate 4 1/2" liner. 6.
