TIH with I step milling system. Tagged the XN nipple and corrected to 10339'. Mill out XN nipple. Dry run. Clean. TIH. Tagged the top of the skate at 10797' Started milling window at 10799' CTMD. Changed O-Ring on Lubricator. Back to working to get mill staked. Worked at getting the mill started for 3.25 hours. POOH and changed BHA to 2 trip system. The ring above the mill is larger than the OD of the mill. TIH and tagged the WS. Milling window in 4 hours. POOH for string mill assay. Found disconnect leaking. Change complete BHA. RIH with BHA #3 (string reamer/formation mill). Dress window with string reamer. Displace well to used FIo Pro. Drilling new hole. 9/12/97 6 11045 Reaming out window with string mill to 10819'. Backed reamed twice to 10819' Dry tagged at 10819' POOH for drilling BHA. OOH and LD Milling BHA. String Mill (SM) looked good. OD at 3.8". PU drilling BHA. TIH and shallow hole test MWD. TIH and tagged at 10246' Used pump and worked through. Packer area. TIH and Orient TF to HS at 10750' TIH and tagged at 10810', Corrected to 10819' Working through window. PUH and Tie in on on Gamma spikes. Made -8' correction. TIH and drilling at exit of window. Drilling, Survey and Drilling. Orient TF to 125 L to depart from original wellbore and drop angle. Change bit, motor and orientor. RIH with BHA #5. 9/13/97 7 11280 Finish TIH with BHA#5 (roller cone insert bit and 1° motor) and tagged the window at 10814' (bottom). Working at getting past window. Orient TF to various settings. Went through window with 100R. TIH and tagged bottom at 11045' Orient TF to 10L. Had trouble getting clicks out of orientor. Drilling at 33 L TF. Topped Zone Ill at 8679' TVD. Drilling slow in ZIII and top of ZII. Survey at 11110' and POOH due to ROP. OOH and change out bit and inspect directional package. Changed out dump valve. TIH with BHA #6 (roller cone insert bit and 1° motor). Passed through window on first try at 101R. Precautionary ream to TD. Drill from 11132-11280' in Zone 2-hard drilling. POOH for bit. Tie-in at window, add 17.0'. 9/14/97 8 11501 Finish POOH for bit. Change bit, motor. TIH and corrected to flag at 10762' (-7'). TIH at 76L Tagged window, Orient TF TIH. Wash Ream 11030' to bottom. Tag bottom at 11268' Corrected TD from 11280' to 11268'. Orient TF. Drilling. Drilled to 11318' Pumped up survey, BR is too Iow. POOH for motor. Changed out motor, bit and inspected Directional Package. TIH and shallow hole test MWD. Clean pits and swap to new FIo Pro while RIH. Tag window at 38L. Orient to get by. Tie-in at GR marker, add 2.5'. Rill to TD. Drill from corrected 11328' to 11501' while building angle to land at 8950' TVD 9/15/97 9 11793 Drilling. Drilling Break at 11541' Orient TF to HS, (HOT). Short Trip to window at 11553' Tie in at 10890' Marker at 11875', Corrected (+2'). TIH Tagged bottom and drilling at 50R TF. Drilled to 11682'. Landed at 90 Deg. POOH at 11682' (Bit & Motor Change). Change out BHA. TIH. Orient to get bywindow. RIH. Tag bottom at 11650' (should be 11682'). PUH to 11475' and log GR. Add 36.0'. RIH and tag TD at 11682'. Drill to 11793' and lost complete returns at 2.6 BPM. Backream to window and were losing 1.8 BPM. POOH losing 1.3 BPM. At surface, LD drilling BHA and MU nozzle. RIH losing 0.8 BPM. Fill pits with used FIo Pro mud. Mix Poly Plug LCM pill with CT at 11700'. Circ at 0.6 BPM with no returns. 9/16/97 10 11840 Moving CT while mixing Poly-Plug while keeping hole full at 0.6 BPM. Start Poly Plug down CT. With CT at 11700', LCM at nozzle. PUH slow laying in LCM. With 5 bbls out nozzle losses were cut in half. Partially closed choke and started squeezing LCM into fracture. With 10 bbl pumped, WHP climbed to 125 psi. Open choke and gained full circulation holding 70 psi BP. PUH laying LCM in open hole. Wash from 10775' to 10845' to clean window area. Circulate LCM out of the hole. Recovered 9 bbl LCM at surface. Squeezed 12 bbl into fracture. OOH and PU Drilling BHA. TIH. Tagged the WS at 10815' PUH and Orient TF to R. Circ press too high. Changed MP#1 To MP#2. Unable to get Cir pressure lowered, POOH to unplug Drilling BHA · PU new BHA, Cir pit over shaker and run MI mobile centrifuge to remove LCM from mud system. TIH. Tagged window and got through, no problem. Tie-in with GR. RIH to corrected TD at 11800'-losing 1.0 BPM. Drill ahead to 11840' and losses increased to 1.7 BPM. Ran short on mud. POOH for LCM pill. LD drilling BHA. RIH with BHA#13 (nozzle)losing 0.6 BPM. Tie in to flag at 11721'. Mix LCM pills. 9/17/97 11 11840 Pumped 30 BBL of 40#/bbl LCM pill, 5 BBL mud spacer, 36 bbl of Poly Plug LCM pill with nozzle at 11700' while losing 1.8 BPM at 2.0 BPM rate. Closed choke as LCM exited nozzle. Displaced plugs with mud at AIR of 1.5 BPM with choke closed. WHP climbed to 900 psi and stabilized at 800 psi at 1.4 BPM. Squeezed 30 bbls LCM plus 29 bbls Poly Plug into formation and left 7 bbl left in open hole. SD and allowed LCM plug to solidify. Started pumping after 4 hours in the casing (10700') at 2 BPM and got 0.9 bbl/min returns. Talked to town. TIH and clean out to 11775' and still at 50% returns, PUH and chased to the window. Wait on BJ Services. RU BJ and hold operational and safety meeting. Pump 5 bbl FW, 51 bbls Magnaset cement (13.2 ppg), 10 bbls FW followed by mud. Circulated cement out nozzle to window while laying cement from 11775' to 11700'. Closed choke while PUH and displaced at AIR of 1.4 BPM. WHP increased to 620 psi after 33 bbls of cement exited nozzle and gradually decreased to 320 psi at end of job. Parked above window and bullhead cement to leave 7 bbls in open hole. Opened choke and circ'd at min rate while PUH to safety. Park CT at EOT for 1.5 hrs while circ at min rate (full returns). POOH for weekly BOP test. Test BOPE-witness waived by AOGCC. MU nozzle BHA. RIH with BHA #14 9/18/97 12 11859 TIH with nozzle. Started Cir at 10700'. Cir 50 bbl rio-pro at 100% returns and then began to lose some returns. Compressive strength at 12 hrs = 90 to 100 psi. WOC 3 hrs. TIH at 0.3 BPM and tagged at 11505'. PUH, Reel Motor not functioning correctly. PUH slowly. Stopped at 11440' to replace bolts in Reel clutch. DS down time 1200 hours to 1730 hrs. Cir. well at 0.3 BPM. TIH and tagged at 11505'. Tried to Jet thru cement at 11505' at 3.00 BPM-no go. Losing 50% returns. POOH. LD nozzle assy. RIH with drilling BHA. Orient to get thru window. Tie-in at GR marker, subtract 1.0'. Losing 0.7 BPM at drilling rate. Ream 30'/min to 11505' and had sli wt loss. Drill magnaset cement at 12'/min w/500# WOB to 11648'. Drill cement at 5.0'/min with 500# WOB to 11801' and lost wt. Drill thru bridge, RIH and tag TD at 11840' (on depth to prior TD). Drill ahead to 11859' losing 0.7 BPM. Reel swivel joint packing began leaking. PUH to window and park. Remove swivel and take to shop for repair. Begin DS downtime at 0200. Fill hole at surface every hour. Losing 6 BPH static. 9/19/97 13 11950 Wait on Swivel Joint from DS Shop, Install Pressure test to 5000 psi and TIH. Tagged bottom at 11857' Drilling, losing 1.0 BPM. Drilling. Drilled 11859' to 11950'. POOH for#2 Magna Set Plug. Flagged Pipe at 10781.5' EOB; Bit at 10843.5' (White Flag). POOH. OOH, Change out BHA, TIH, RU BJ Services. TIH to 11650'. Safety Meeting. Pumped 5 bbl FW, PTto 4000 psi, 30 bbl Magna Plus. 10 bbl FW, Switch to CTD rig mud. Placed cement at nozzle and POOH at 1:1 Ratio to the WS. Pumped 15 bbl in the open hole. PUH to 10750' and closed chokes. Red Qp to 0.5 BPM and slowly walked the pressure up. With 22 bbl out the WHP started to climb. The WHP climbed to 261 psi with 25 bbls out. WHP constant from 25 bbl to 30 bbl out. With 30 bbl out the pressure rose to 310 psi. Displaced the Magna Plug to 10788' (26' above the WS) Open choke and POOH keeping hole full. Cement mixed at 1700 hours and in-place at 1845 hours. WOC. 9/20/97 14 12178 WOC. At 0900 hrs the well hasn't taken any fluid since 0700 hrs. PUH drilling BHA. Tagged the top of the WS at 10808' Orient TF from 44L to 41R. TIH thru Window. Corrected to flag. W/R to bottom. Tagged first bridge at 11390' and harder plug at 11440. 300 psi motor work at 11550' At 11750' lost 50% returns. PUH and work CT. Regain cir at 2.5/2.1 BPM. TIH and tagged bottom at corrected TD of 11956'. Orient TF and back to drilling at 60R. Drill to 12082' losing 0.4 BPM while drilling. Could not get desired turn and samples indicate a need to build 5' TVD. Backream to window. POOH for motor bend. Tie-in at window, add 3.0' (flag). Change bit, motor. RIH with BHA#19 (1.5 deg motor). Tie-in with flag. Precautionary ream to TD. Full returns to 11550', then started losing 0.7 BPM which improved to 0.3 BPM. Tag TD at corrected 12080'. Drill ahead losing 0.4-0.8 BPM. Drill to 12173'. Motor is not getting projected turn. Will land on far side of polygon. Drill to 12178' and lost all returns. POOH. Note: Bit is at same TVD as prior fault that was crossed at 11708' (8944' TVD). 9121197 15 12178 Finish POOH after losing all returns at 12178'. LD BHA. Repair Levelwind on reel and wait on cementers and 2 3/8" tubing. Fill hole with SW every hour (30-40 bbls/hr) down BS. Load workstring in pipeshed. MU cement BHA #20 (jet nozzle plus 1008' of 2-3/8" 5.95# L-80 RTS6 tubing). Total SW pumped 290 bbls). RIH to window without pumping. Pump down CT at 1.0 bpm while run in open hole. Jet thru minor bridges to 12000'. Mix and pump 7 bbls Class 'G' cement followed by mud. Displace to nozzle with open choke. Reduce rate to 1.0 bpm while cement exited nozzle. Reduce rate to 0.5 bpm with mud at nozzle then POOH. Park at window and WOC. CIP 0230. TT 3:20. Pump 20 bbls FW down BS every hour to keep overbalance-no returns 9/22/97 16 11852 WOC. Fill hole at 0700 hrs, well started to flow. SWl and SIWHP = 200psi Pumping down CT at 3 BPM holding 200 psi of the Annulus. RU cementers and batch up 20 bbl cement. Laid 7 bbl cement from 11950' to 11650' Reciprocate CT from 11600' to 11650' 4 time With 16 bbl out CT, CT pressure inc to 1000 psi.. PUH slowly and cement out of nzl at 11540' WHP started to climb. PUH to window and WHP at 40 psi. Open choke and cir wellbore 1:1 ratio. Circ out gas. TIH after 3 hrs to contaminate cement. Tagged at 11626' (Hard). POOH chasing contaminated cement to surface. LD 2 3/8" tubing. Hole is full. MU drilling BHA #21 (0.8 deg motor). RIH through window, tie-in. Subtract 2.0'. Precautionary ream to 11648' where firm cement was found. Losing 0.2 BPM. Circ out remaining gas. Drill firm cement in old hole from 11648' to 11831' where firm drilling was encountered. Losing 0.1 BPM. Based later survey it appears that the old hole was sidetracked at this point. 9~23~97 17 12249 Drilling Sidetrack Cir at 1:1 Ratio, At 11900' projected TVD at 8957', POOH for 1.5 BH. Backed reamed 11600' to 11500' Pulled tight and some motor work in this interval. POOH. OOH and PU 1.5 ° BH on motor. TIH. Tagged window. Worked through and Tie in. (-1' Correction). Mud pump #1 went down with leaking packing. PUH on MP#2 and tripped AC breaker (taking too much power. M-I is using rig power for centrifuge since Nordic's is down). PUH to window tie-in. RIH on MP#1. Drill from 12113-249' and started losing 1.0 BPM. Backream to window. Check losses at 1.0 BPM. POOH for cement assay. LD drilling BHA. 9124197 18 OOH and fill hole. Took 22 bbl to fill hole. Cir at 2.7/1.9 over top of hole. PU Cement BHA, fill hole while PU tools. TIH Tagged bottom at 12250' Pumped 5 bbl cement and with 2bbl out, laid cement from 12250' to 11860' WHP rose to 93 psi PUH to window. SD well taking fluid. Checked 1.5/1.0 BPM After 3 hrs TIH contaminate cement at 1.6/1.3 Ratio WHP - 10 psi. Tagged cement at 12190'. Cir hole. Batch mix 7 bbl cement. Laid 8 bbl cement from 12185' to 11810' WHP climbed to 100 psi Maintained 50 to 130 psi on WH while laying cement. PUH to 10750' Filling hole every 30 min. WOC 8 hrs. Wash in hole, circ. 2.0 BPM getting 1.3 BPM returns. Tag up at 12225'. Circulate and clean hole. Mix and pump 7 Bbl. Cement. Hold 150- 200 psi WHP during squeeze. Pull to Window, close in w/250 psi WHP. WHP bleeding back very slowly. 9/25/97 19 12172 WOC. Able to keep the hole full while WOC. At 1030 hrs, Broke cir. 1:1; 1.5/1.5 and 2.0/1.9 BPM. TIH to CO to bottom. Tagged bottom at 11900' ( 8958' TVD) Cir at 2.5/2.2 BPM. Mixed and spotted 15 bbl LCM pill on bottom, POOH, LD Squeeze BHA and PU Drilling BHA. Tag up at 11906', begin drilling. Appear to have accomplished sidetrack at +/-12050'. Continue drilling sidetrack hole. 9~26~97 20 12210 Drilling. Lost total returns at 12210' 2.5/0.2 BPM. PUH to safety. At 10748', filling hole and losing 1 BPM. SD pump and fill hole down back side. Losing 10 bbl/15 minutes. Waiting on seawater to drill. Load CT and TIH with Bit Tagged at 12206' Started to drill. PUH and worked Stuck CT at 12206' PUH at 80k. At 12186' the CT became free. PUH to window. Talked to town. POOH and fill backside with SW. Qp at 5.5 BPM/0 BPM returns. Took 9.5 BPM to keep hole full while POOH. Took 1100 bbl to get out of hole. OOH, LD Drilling BHA and PU Squeezed BHA. Changed Packoff. Fluid Packed Wellbore and PT CT and surface equip, to 2200 psi. Called out Grease crew to unlock SV. Open SV, WHP = 50 psi. TIH, loading hole while TIH. Stopped at 10860' Took 75kto pull back in to 7" casing. Pumped 39 bbl LCM Pill (40#/bbl Liquid csg/ Quick seal): Displaced with PWwith Pressure Inc to 538 psi and broke back. WHP rose to 350 psi.. LCM pill at TD. Loaded backside to knock down gas in annulus. Pumped 39 bbl LCM ( 20#/bb; LC/Quick Seal) down CT. Displaced with PW and with 19 bbl plug in open hole, no evidence of plugging from LCM plug. Fluid pack CTA WHP rose to 350 psi with LCM at TD at Qp = 3.5 BPM. 9~27~97 21 12210 Fluid packing CT annulus at 5.00 BPM. Waiting on MI LCM Pill (100bbl) Pumped 50 bbl 150k FIo-Pro, 50 bbl 150k / 3% Lube tex LCM ( 20#Liquid Casing, 20# OM Seal, 20# Kwik Seal). Displace with PW at 5 BPM. With LCM at at Whipstock, red Qp to 2 BPM, final WHP = 4 psi. With 19 bbl left in the wellbore, SD for 15 min, WHP dropped to Vac in 2 min. Fluid packed wellbore and chased gas back to bottom. WHP dropped to 0 psi in 357 bbls pumped, Wait on 100 bbl LCM pill. Pump 100 Bbl LCM pill down annulus. Observed some bridging but could not stop massive flow. Pump down annulus and wait on diesel/bentonite slurry. Pump slurry down CT while pumping down annulus w/HB&R. Stop annulus pump when slurry at nozzle. WHP went to 0 and then started to build. Building to +/-200 psi and breaking back. Continue pump slurry and WHP went to 700 psi. Open flow line and pull uphole w/CT. Circ down CT and take returns to flowline. FIowline pressure 250 psi. Circulate to allow plug to set. 9/28/97 22 Circulating through Flowline at 3.00 BPM, WHP = 200 psi and FLT = 135 °F. All fluid at S-riser. SD pump and checked WH parameters. Good. SI WV and WHP stabilized. Open well and cir 1:1 TIH and cir 1:1 to 10800'. Tripped in open hole. Tagged top 10846' Washed down to 10885' Hard. PUH and called town. Cement backto top of WS. Mix cement. Pumped 5 bbl FW, 4 bbl cement, 10 bbl FW. Laid from 10885' to 10732'. 82' inside 7" liner. Pumped 50bbl around nozzle and POOH. Freeze Protected the top 2000' of tubing. A sub-seismic conductive fault located at the start of the target polygon was encountered by H-19A PB 1, H-19A PB 2 and H- 19A. Cement was used to plug back the first two penetrations of the fault, and a gel/diesel pill followed by a cement cap was used to seal and plug back from the third penetration, H-19A. As shown on the attached drawing, the top of plug back cement is at 10,732', some 83 feet above the window milled in the 7" liner. This cement cap effectively abandons the H-19A sidetrack. The existing H-19 well is in suitable condition for a future sidetrack by either cleaning out and using the existing whipstock and window or by milling a new window above the currently abandoned window. For this reason we propose no further plugging of the H-19 wellbore.
