It would fall, but would hang up when pulling up. The tool came free, but continued to hang up on the way out. possibly due to slightly bent top centralizer and flat spot on cable head which would on occaision hang up in the tool joints. Good survey results were obtained. Due to the unexpected geology this well is to be plugged across the Kuparuk. The existing 7 5/8" casing is to be cut and pulled and a kickoff plug is to be set with the well sidetracked to a new location. 1, RIH with open ended drill pipe with 65 joints of 3 Y~." tubing stinger , Tag TD and pump 100 bbl 15,7 ppg Class "G"cement (475 Sacks) This will place the TOC at ±15,750'(200' inside 7 `518" shoe) 3, Pull to 15,000' and circulate bottoms up, WOC . After a minimum of eight hours, run in the hole and weight test the plug with 1,5,000 to 20,000 lb. Slack-off weight. Insure that AOGCC representative is on site to witness the test. 5, POOH, Stand :t:8500' of 4"drillpipe in the Derrick, lay down the rest, 6. Pick up 7 5/8" casing cutter assembly. RIH to _+8500' cut pipe, 7, POOH, standing 4" pipe in the derrick, 11 ! 10, Remove 7 5/8" pack-off, Install 1 set of 7 5/8" rams in BOP stack and test doors to 3000 psi. This production interval will be drilled with a 6 3/4" bit. The option to complete this per the original permit is requested. After logging and analysis of the LOC in the above bore, the asset may request that the high angle completion that is attached be completed. The steps below will be taken to achieve this. Plug the 6 ~" open hole interval back to -17000' MD (top Kuparuk) with a 15.8 ppg class "G" cement. (Estimated to be ,50 BBL volume with 50% Excess). Drill off of the plug building angle at 6 degrees per 100 feet until the 90 degree sail angle is reached at 17,322' MD. This has caused stuck pipe incidents and bit/BHA balling Gumbo problems. · Coal stringer in the lower Ugnu have caused stuck pipe. · No major instances of lost circulation problems have occurred on Pt Mac 2 wells. · Gas cut mud has been experienced in the Colville shales in neighboring wells. A 10.1 ppg mud may be required here. Disposal · Cuttings Handling: Cuttings should be hauled to the ball mill at CC-2A.
