Each of these wells was found to have a void in the conductor. These voids were filled with cement and corrosion inhibitor, engineered to prevent water from entering the annular space. As per previous agreement with the AOGCC, this letter and spreadsheet serves as notification that the treatments took place and meets the requirements of form 10 -404, Report of Sundry Operations. The cement was pumped September 11, 2011. The corrosion inhibitor /sealant was pumped August 15, 2012. The attached spreadsheet presents the well name, top of cement depth prior to filling, and volumes used on each conductor. Please call MJ Loveland or Martin Walters at 907 - 659 -7043, if you have any questions. Sincerely, MJ Lov land ConocoPhillips Well Integrity Projects Supervisor • • ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. WSW-IO/1B-IOGI The proposed Well WSW-IO will ~"-t'he existing Well 1B-iOGI by a distance of 63' at a measured depth of 1131' (in 1B-lOG) and 1130' (in WSW-iO). This distance was calculated using the Gyro multi-shot survey on 1B-IOGI and the proposed course for WSW-iO. Well 1B-IOGI has an ellipse of uncertainty of. 42' across its major axis at the depth at which the crossing occurs. WSW-IO will also have an ellipse of uncertainty of 42' across its major axis at the depth of interest. The areas of uncertainty for the two wells will therefore not intersect. WSW-IO/1B-9GI The proposed well WSW-IO will ¢~s the existing well 1B-9GI by a distance of 118' at a measured depth of 1275' (in 1B-9GI) and 1312' (in WSW-IO). This distance was calculated using the Gyro multi-shot survey on 1B-9GI and the proposed course for WSW-iO. Well 1B-9GI has an ellipse of uncertainty of 53' across its major axis at the depth at which the crossing occurs. WSW-IO will have an ellipse of uncertainty of 55' across its major axis at the depth of interest. The areas of uncertainty for the two wells will therefore not intersect. ARCO proposes that the following procedures be used to drill WSW-iO safely past the above crossings. I The 13-1/2" sur~a-qe ~ole will be continuously surveyed to~;>i~ts total depth using a/Telec~ tool and single shot surveys. .~ 2. Well 1B-IOGI will be shut-in if calculations show that a crossing 63' or less is to occur. This distance corresponds to the inter- section of the areas of uncertainty. Upon shutting in, casing and tubing pressures would be monitored until a safe crossing is evident. If calculations show that a crossing of 63' or less is to occur, a deflection tool will be run to increase the crossing distance. 3. Well 1B-9GI will be shut-in if calculations show that a crossing 118' or less is to occur. This distance corresponds to the inter- section of the areas of uncertainty. Upon shutting in, casing and tubing pressures would be monitored until a safe crossing is evident. If calculations show that a crossing of 118' or less is to occur, a deflection tool will be run to increase the crossing distance. In addition to the above precautions, the on-site rig personnel and supervi- sors will continuously monitor all parameters as the intervals of interest are drilled. Also, ARCO Alaska, Inc., proposes to drill Water Source Well (WSW) No. 10 on 80' spacing adjacent to existing WSW No. 9, as Shown on the attached wellbore proximity plot. The wellbores for these two wells are vertical to 500' TVD, which is the point where both wellbores are kicked off. At this point, the areas of uncertainty of the individual well surveys would be 4' in diameter. This is based upon typical field-observed accuracies for the surveying tools utilized. Assuming a worst-case situation, the areas of uncertainty would not intersect or overlap one another. Further, after reaching these points, the subject wellbores are directionally drilled at diverging angles further widening the margin of safety. In light of the above, we feel we can safely drill Water Source Well No. 10 and avoid proximity problems with the adjacent wellbore.
