The pertormance of the C1 gas compnassivn rbine has been below ~sxpectations since the facility was restarted In late July after annual alntenance. The t~achnlcians have been troubleshooting and making ad)ustmentd online, rwsver, the source of the problem was eventually discovered during this p0ot week. It was ~med that the Inlet guide vanes (IGVa) were out of calibration which resulted In the turbine ider p®rformance. The calibration of the IGVa requires shut down of the turbine. This was 9rted about 1240 PM on the afternoon of the 2801 end was expected to take a maximum of three curs. High ~GOR wells were shut in (approximately 30,004 BOPD rate). The work took about ur hours due to some complications with the GE Mark V programming. C1 was restarted apt lout 1650 hours. •• ~rren Dobson igust 30, 2005 EEEE 13C213SE~1 dM WdSZ ~ T .T SOOZ ~ i. daS S STATE OF ALASKA ALASKA OIL AND GAS CONSERVATION COMMISSION FACILITY REPORT OF PRODUCED GAS DISPOSITION 1. The plant slowdown and flaring was estimated to last about 8 hrs. to 12 hrs; however, work was completed in approximately 6.5 hrs. Kuukpik, Nuigsut Village residents and Ms. Teena Helmricks were notified of the planned event as a courtesy. necessary to inspect the combustion liners for any repairs that may have been necessary. The C-1 gearbox was also inspected. Operations conducted other necessary maintenance during the turbine inspection such as, cleaning the dehydrator strainers; however, the additional work did not impact flaring operations. If you need more information, please give us a call at 670-4200. Shellie.
