Hello Steve,
May was an unusually high month for flaring at Endicott. I talked to
the board operator this afternoon, who looked in the log book, and
provided some more details. If you and Jim still need more information,
please call the Production Coordinator, Melody Broacha, at 564-4712 next
week. (I'm heading on vacation tomorrow.)
The largest flare events were caused by a variety of problems with the B
main compressor. On May 19, a power supply was replaced. On 5/27, B
main tripped off and was safed out on 5/28. There were multiple
attempts to restart it on 5/29 and on 5/30 there was work on the
anti-surge valve.
Also, MI injection resumed in May 2005, for the first time since May
2004. Getting this compressor going again involved multiple starts
while troubleshooting.

In reviewing May Gas Disposition report for DIU, Jim noticed a volume
flared or vented more than an hour or less has more than doubled the
highest volume we seen in 5 years. Please research and provide an
