CGF lost main electrical power to the plant due to melting snow inside a transformer control cabinet. Both MI compressors, Boosters 1801 & 1802, and Tandem compressor 1885 shutdown as a result. Additionally, CCP lost two high stage machines and a low stage as a result of this major disruption to the process. As a result, over 3000 MMSCF (out of total online of 8500 MMSCF) had to be shutin. CGF, GC1 and GC2 flared until this production could be shutin. CGF flaring started at 14:39 and continued intermittently (not all of the compressors shutdown at the same time) through 18:25. A total of 7815 MSCF was flared from CGF. Additionally, GC1 flared 2866 MSCF and GC2 flared 1507 MSCF (both flares lasted longer then 1 hour, and were within the CGF flaring window). The next day, additional flaring for >1 hr occurred at CGF. The two MI compressors shutdown at 09:02 due to a fuel gas supply problem. Flaring lasted for 1 hr, 28 mins and a total 17249 MSCF was flared. Both MI machines were successfully restarted, but a second power failure occurred later in the day. This time, only 1 MI compressor shutdown. Flaring occurred for 4 hrs, 15 mins and a total of 4125 MSCF was flared. Finally, a high level in the HP suction drum caused the same MI machine to shutdown for a 3rd time. Flaring lasted for 1 hr, 21 mins and a total of 2154 MSCF was flared. these 2 days was 35716 MSCF. Seven extended flaring events occurred betwwen 7/24 and 7/26, due to facility start-ups following the shutdown. This is a note giving you a courtesy "heads up" on the greater than one hour flare events you will be seeing in the monthly gas disposition reports prepared by the Anchorage Volume Accounting Team. * CGF experienced one extended flaring event on July 22nd during depressuring of the 60" EOA gas transit line for a valve repair.Total flared volume was 26,000 MSCF, total duration was 12 hours and 44 minutes. * FS1 experienced one extended flaring event on July 22nd during a controlled blowdown for planned maintenance.Total flared volume was 9,259 MSCF, total duration was 7 hours and 0 minutes. * CGF experienced three extended flaring events on July 23rd during equipment shut-down for planned maintenance. The first two events were due to blowdown of the 1857 tandem compressor. The total flared volume for the first event was 350 MSCF, total duration was 1 hour and 47 minutes. The total flared volume for the second event was 350 MSCF, total duration was 1 hour and 18 minutes. The third event was due to the ESD of LTS-2 for planned maintenance. The total flared volume was 2,600 MSCF, total duration was 1 hour and 0 minutes. * FS3 experienced three extended flaring events on July 23rd during a planned shut-down. The first event was due to depressuring the i of 3 7/27/2005 8:36 AM .. « ~. ~ .... .b .............. 13B/6C common-line for maintenance. Total flared volume was 691 MSCF, total duration was 4 hours and 30 minutes. The second event was due to depressuring the 13D common-line for maintenance. Total flared volume was 126 MSCF, total duration was 2 hours and 15 minutes. The third event was due to a planned ESD of the facility. Total flared volume was 3,225 MSCF, total duration was 2 hours and 30 minutes. * GC3 experienced one extended flaring event on July 24th during re-pressurization of the plant during start-up.Total flared volume was 483 MSCF, total duration was 2 hours and 19 minutes. * FS3 experienced two extended flaring events on July 24th during plant start-up. The first event was due to a valve stem leak in the inlet to the "A" oil train high pressure separator. The separator had to be depressured to secure the leak. Total flared volume was 97 MSCF, total duration was 2 hours and 30 minutes. The second event was due to the 1801 tandem compressor restart. Total flared volume was 5 MSCF, total duration was 2 hours and 10 minutes. * FS3 experienced one extended flaring event on July 25th during plant start-up. The event was caused by the 1801 tandem compressor unloading and causing the STV/IP suction scrubbers to release to the flare system. Multiple attempts were made to reload the compressor, it finally started after the production fluids and gas warmed up. The problem was exacerbated by the reduced rate and cold fluids from GC3. Total flared volume was 8,184 MSCF, total duration was 16 hours and 29 minutes. * GC3 experienced three extended flaring events during facility start-up on July 25 and July 26th The first event occurred during loading of the K-7001 LPS compressor after the shutdown. The total volume flared was 2,284 MSCF and the total event duration was 4 hours and 59 minutes. The second event was caused by the K5500 compressor shutting down during facility start-up due to a seal leak. K5500 procedures were followed to minimize flaring. Total flared volume was 3,851 MSCF, total duration for the event was 18 hours and 29 minutes. The third event was due to the use of assist gas during K-5000 seal repair. Total flared volume was 3,042 MSCF, total duration for the event was 3 hours and 39 minutes. 2 of 3 7/27/2005 8:36 AM vE u i iui uib iua.iu~: ii~~ call me. As a result of the power failure, the MI compressors would not restart due to instrumentation, memory faults and starter deviation problems. As we were restarting the plant (bringing gas in, reestablishing levels and temperatures in the LTS and stabilizer units), we flared until the MI machines restarted since the gas off the stabilizers goes to the MI compressors. Let me know if you need any additional information. Two extended flaring events occurred at The first event occurred at the CGF on September 8 and lasted for 1 hour and 48 minutes, total volume 16.2 MMSCF of Miscible Injectant (MI). The event began while downloading new software to MI turbine/compressor 1805, resulting in an immediate turbine shut down. Three restarts were attempted before 1805 was successfully started and loaded. During the troubleshooting and restart activities, operations continued to increase the Low Temperature Separation (LTS) bottoms temperature to minimize the amount of flared MI. The second event occurred at GC2 during the restart process following a week long shut down for planned maintenance. Flaring began at 00:01 September 10 and ended at 03:25 September 12. Duration of the flare event was 51 hours and 24 minutes, total volume flared was 18.1 MMSCF. The initial flaring was caused by difficulties starting a reboiler and resulted in 0.3 MMSCF of flared gas. Another 7.4 MMSCF was flared while completing the water wash and start up procedures on K7001 LPS turbine / compressor over a 9 hour and 25 minute period. The final 10.4 MMSCF was flared over a 27 hour and 24 minute period while we were bringing sufficient oil on line to provide enough gas to load up the IP and LP compressors.
