The event occurred at CGF on September 29 starting at 04:30 and lasted 4 hrs 17 mins, total volume of 33,730 MSCF of Miscible Injectant (MI) was flared. MI compressor 1855 shutdown due to a PLC relay failure. Several restart attempts occurred over the next several hours Also, startup attempts of the 2nd MI machine was initiated at 06:00. During the time the MI machine was down, the LTS & stabilizer temperatures were adjusted to reduce MI production and flaring. MI compressor #2 was successfully restarted and the flare valve closed at 08:47 hrs. If you require additional information, please don't hesitate to call me. The events occurred at the CGF starting on September 16 and extending into September 17. The first event started at 00:56 9/16106 and lasted 4 hrs and 37 mins, total volume 25,486 MSCF of Miscible Injectant (MI) was flared. The event began when MI compressor #1 shutdown on a low low seal oil differential pressure. Troubleshooting began immediately and the facility operators attempted to start the backup MI compressor. Startup of the 2nd MI machined failed due to several minor gas leaks on the compressor discharge relief valves. Also, the LTS & stabilizer temperatures were adjusted within the first 6 minutes to reduce MI production and flaring. MI compressor #1 was restarted and the MI flare valve closed at 05:33 hrs. The second event occurred later the same day. At 19:41 on 9/16/06, MI compressor #1 shutdown when switching to the main lube oil pump. This event lasted for 1 hour and 17 minutes, total volume 7.196 MSCF of Miscible Injectant (MI) was flared. The backup MI compressor was started and the LTS & stabilizer temperatures were adjusted within the first 5 minutes to reduce MI production. MI compressor #2 was started and the flare valve closed at 21:05 hrs. The final event started at 23:47 on 9/16 and ended at 01:17 on 9/17 which was 1 hr and 30 mins. The total volume flared was 7,149 MSCF of MI. MI compressor #2 shutdown due to an ESD relay alarm failure. Both events were at CGF. The first event occurred when turbine /compressor (T /C) 1805 shut down due to control and instrumentation failures. Intermittent flaring occurred for 2 hours and 40 minutes, beginning at 1145. Total volume from this event was 100 MSCF. The second event occurred when T/C 1855 shut down at 1350 due to a problem associated with the surge valve and seal oil systems. Process adjustments were made during the event to reduce flaring. The flaring event lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes, resulting in a total flared volume of 13,523 MSCF. If you require additional information, please don't hesitate to call me.
