LP gas routed to flare until power generator and booster compressor restarted. B-MGC water washed to eliminate fouling. Experimentation to maximize wash benefit by varying rinse frequency and duration led to flaring over one hour. Leaking MGC safety valve required all wells to be shut in, full 3-phase flowline depressurization. Gas in line purged to flare. Unsuccessful A-MGC start-up attempt after PSV replacement. Delay in restart to identify cause of start-up failure. ACTION TAKEN TO ELIMINATE CAUSE Troubleshooting work on 4501 power generator to determine cause of failure and eliminate future shut down events. Although duration of flaring longer than previous water wash procedures, the total volumes were similar to previous washes. Experimentation reviewed to determine optimal wash procedures. Leaking PSV replaced to eliminate future need to fully depressurize system. A-MGC start-up failure identified and corrected quickly, brought back on line.
