> This note is to inform you of a flaring incident which occurred on
> April 19, 2002. The LPC Operations personnel were attempting to restart
> the MI compressor (which had been down for routine maintenance). A
> spurious NGL plant shutdown event occurred which cascaded to a full LPC
> plant shutdown. The incoming gas (-365 MM/D) went to flare and the gas
> rate was immediately reduced to 1 well per drillsite in order to keep the
> commonlines warm until the compressors could be restarted (gas rate was
> reduced to -55 MM/D). As a result, 21.2 MMSCF of gas was flared (the
> compressors were down for 3 hrs, 45 mins).
