A logic control board failed initially; the back up system also failed causing an emergency shutdown. No uncontrolled releases, no spills, no injuries have occurred. BP is working through the plant restart - gas compressors were operational as of noon today and BP expects oil to be flowing again later this evening. Rough estimate of production impact is 4000bbls on 11/30/2008 and 10,000bbIs today. He did not have a volume for gas flaring but assured me that will be included in monthly gas disposition report.
