On March 4 an extended flaring events occurred aittt Cause of the flaring event was due to LPS turbine
compressor shutdown due to a problem associated with P334V (cooling medium pressure control valve).
The valve was stuck in the closed position. The event began at 11:07 and ended at 12:05 for a duration of
58 minutes, with a total flared volume of 12,889 MSCF.

From: Hal Tucker, GPB Production Optimization Team Leader
Three flaring events occurred at GPB last week that I would like to bring to your attention.
The first event is a follow up to the flaring events at GC2 described in Dwight Warner's April 14 e -mail. GC2
continued to experience intermittent flaring from K205/K208 through April 14 and 15 until 12:13 AM on April
16 when sufficient process heat was restored to enable second and third stages to break out enough gas
to allow K205/K208 to maintain forward flow. Process heat, from the turbine /compressor K7000 Waste
Heat Recovery Unit, was restored once repairs to the combustion section of K7000 were completed. The
damage to the combustion section was discovered during routine maintenance. During the flaring event,
operations cut total field gas rate and gas rates at all 3 GC's to reduce the back pressure on K205.
Additionally, process changes (decreased gas cooler temperature to increase condensate yield, and
increased suction KO drum temperature to increase flashed gas) were made to increase the available gas
volume to the suction of K205. These changes enabled K205 to intermittently attain forward flow and thus
reduce flare volumes. Flare duration and volume [in addition to what Dwight has already reported] were 46
hours 23 minutes and 50,175 MSCF. For approximately 23 hours of that duration, flaring was intermittent.
An extended event occurred at GC1 on April 19. The event was part of the turbine cool down procedure in
preparation for routine water washing. The flaring event began at 1658 and ended at 1840 (102 minutes),
the total volume flared was 3,188 MSCF.
The third event, which occurred albs'$1 on April 19, is being reported at your request. This event had a
volume of greater than 5,000 MSCF. Turbine /compressor 1804 shut down on a vibration alarm. The flaring
event began at 0627 and ended at 0720 (53 minutes), the total volume flared was 6,592 MSCF.
If you require additional information, please don't hesitate to call me.

From: Dwight Warner, GPB Production Optimization Team Leader
An extended event occurred at CGF on April 28 when turbine /compressor 1805 shut down due to a
problem associated with the ESD relay panel. The offline T/C 1855 was started, and stabilized facility
process and normal operations. The flaring event began at 1810 and ended at 1842 (32 minutes), the total
volume flared from meter #660 was 5036 MSCF and from meter #618 was 387 MSCF. Total volume flared
from the event was 5423 MSCF.
An extended event occurred at FS1 on April 30 when the LPS turbine /compressor 1804 shut down
because of a problem associated with adjustment of the vibration shut down set points. The flaring event
began at 1717 and ended at 1814 (57 minutes), the total volume flared from this event was 12,588 MSCF.
Shortly after restarting this machine the LPS T/C 1803 shut down for an unknown reason. The flaring event
began at 1817 and ended at 1847 (30 minutes), the total volume flared was 6,354 MSCF.
An event at FS3 that occurred on April 21 had the total volume flared changed from 705 MSCF to 723
MSCF. The previous e-mail was sent on 4/22 from Hal Tucker.

Several extended flaring event occurred at Greater Prudhoe Bay during the last week.
On 5/12 an extended event occurred at CGF when T/C 1805 shut down due to an instrument problem.
Total duration of the event was 84 minutes. Total volume flared was 12,228 MSCF.
Two extended flaring events occurred at GC2 on 5/13 and 5/14. Both events were related to the full plant
shut down initiated due to an inadvertent valve closure on the oil transit line. The first event began at 07:37
and ended at 23:40. Flaring from the IP and LP vessels occurred during troubleshooting and plant restart
preparation. The second event began at 01:38 and ended at 11:00 when sufficient oil rate was brought on
line to allow the IP /LP compressors to Toad up. Total duration and volume for the first event was 963
minutes and 16,719 MSCF. The second event had a total duration and volume of 572 minutes and 596
MSCF.
An extended flaring event occurred on 5/14 at FS3 while performing safe out operations in preparation for
unplanned maintenance on T/C 1801. T /C's 1801 and 1802 are the STV /IP machines for FS3 and both
needed to be shut down to install blinds to enable repairs to 1801. 1801 sustained damage during the full
field shut down (CPS power outage). The flaring event began on 5/14 at 09:00 and ended on 5/15 at 23:59
(39 hours), total volume flared was 14,125 MSCF.
Four extended flaring events occurred at FS1 on from 5/15 through 5/17. All four events were associated
with planned maintenance (water washes) on LPS T /C's 1803 and 1804. The first two events were the spin
cooling to prep for the water wash and cranking during the water wash for T/C 1803. The second two
events were for T/C 1804 (same activities).
1803 spin cool 120 minutes, 775 MSCF and crank 90 minutes, 572 MSCF - - -- both on 5/15
1804 spin cool 118 minutes, 658 MSCF and crank 60 minutes, 383 MSCF - - -- 5/16 spin and 5/17
crank
An extended flaring event occurred on 5/18 at GC3 to depressure D -bank, 1st stage, HP separator piping
to repair a small leak. The event began at 15:50 and ended at 17:45. Total duration was 115 minutes, total
volume was 399 MSCF.
On 5/19 an extended flaring event occurred at CGF. MI T/C 1855 was shut down and depressured to
repair an oil leak. Total duration was 155 minutes, total volume was 285 MSCF.

Extended flaring events took place at Prudhoe Bay on 10/14/08. This was caused by a loss of electrical power to
the CGF utilities section at approximately 20:58, which caused the tandems and booster compressors to shut
down on high lube oil temperature. This increased the transit gas pressure, and several facilities (listed below)
were forced to flare. Rate was reduced by shutting in high gas wells until CCP could handle the gas load from the
field. The cause of the electrical shutdown is under investigation. CGF began coming back online at
approximately 00:10, and was fully operational by approximately 09:00 on 10/15/08.
GC1 at 10/14/2008 starting at 21:04 and stopping at 10/14/2008 22:02 with a volume of 7048 (MSCF). The event
lasted for 58 minutes.
GC2 at 10/14/2008 starting at 21:07 and stopping at 10/14/2008 21:20 with a volume of 226 (MSCF). The event
lasted for 13 minutes.
GC3 at 10/14/2008 starting at 21:00 and stopping at 10/14/2008 22:13 with a volume of 11406 (MSCF). The
event lasted for 73 minutes.
FS1 at 10/14/2008 starting at 21:00 and stopping at 10/14/2008 21:55 with a volume of 2022 (MSCF). The event
lasted for 55 minutes.
CGF at 10/14/2008 starting at 21:15 and stopping at 10/14/2008 23:00 with a volume of 93668 (MSCF). The
event lasted for 105 minutes.

An incident occurred at DS1 at approximately 05:00 on November 1st when a hairline crack on the choke for well
1 -15 released gas in the module. The Drill Site was shut down and depressured. Messages were left for the
AOGCC inspector on the slope as well as the Anchorage Office at approximately 7:10 am by Mike McDaniel the
Environmental TL.
A hairline crack on the downstream side of the choke for well 1 -15 was the cause. The volume of gas released
was 10.9 MSCF and approximately 5 gal of crude that misted in the module. The choke has been replaced and
the Drill Site should be put back on production later today.
In order to secure the Drill Site, the wells were shut in and the common lines were depressured through the FS1
facility. This resulted in a flaring event, starting at 05:28 and finishing at 06:19, a duration of 51 minutes. The
total volume of gas flared was 787 MSCF.
Attached is the 5 -Day report.

An extended flaring event took place at FS1 starting at 12/31/2008 10:30 and stopping at 12/31/2008 14:00 with a
volume of 2496 (MSCF). The event lasted for 210 minutes. This was due to the unplanned shutdown of LP
compressor 1801, traced to a burned out card. A replacement was robbed from compressor 1802, and the
machine restarted.

An extended flaring event took place at FS1 starting at 12/05/2008 15:54 and stopping at 12/05/2008 17:30 with a
volume of 700 (MSCF). The event lasted for 96 minutes. This was as a result of an unplanned shutdown of
STV /IP compressor 1801. Compressor 1802 was started and flaring ceased. The cause of the shutdown is
unknown at present, and is under investigation.
