They have been trying to complete the welding on this line and have had difficulty getting the LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) down to an acceptable level for welding. The current plan is to shutdown DS6 tomorrow or Tuesday in order get the sleeve welded. Once welding has taken place they will move forward with purging the line and smart pigging. The flaring is due to leaking valves that will be replaced. The flaring volume for each 24 hour period from 7/24 until yesterday has been 103 MSCF. Since they have not been able to complete the welding I wanted to give you the volumes through July and we now have 2 days in August with the same volume each day (103 MSCF). July 24th to July 31st 103 MSCF each day and the total volume during this time was 824 MSCF. August 1st and August 2nd 103 MSCF each day and total volume of 206 MSCF to date. This has caused intermittent flaring from lower oil rates. The intermittent flaring event began at 05:55 and ended at 19:30 (815 minutes), total volume flared was 950 MSCF. During this event the flare valve was open for a total of 130 minutes. An extended flaring event occurred at GC1 on September 1 due to Annex not being on line while reboiler repairs are made. This has caused intermittent flaring from lower oil rates. The intermittent flaring event began at 20:00 and ended at 22:00 (120 minutes), total volume flared was 833 MSCF. An extended flaring event occurred at GC1 on September 2 due to Annex not being on line while reboiler repairs are made. This has caused intermittent flaring from lower oil rates. The intermittent flaring event began at 00:58 and ended at 10:20 (562 minutes), total volume flared was 1094 MSCF. During this event the flare valve was open for a total of 105 minutes. An extended flaring event occurred at FS1 on September 2 due to a leaking divert valve on commonline 12C during start -up after tie -in work for the SW injection line was completed. The commonline had to be depressured for valve repair. The flaring event began at 15:30 and ended at 18:00 (150 minutes), total volume flared was 417 MSCF. An extended flaring event occurred at FS3 on September 2 to depressure the 13B and 13D commonline for blind installation to perform maintenance /repairs on the piping in the DS13 manifold building. The repairs were completed in the manifold and the commonlines were returned to normal service. The flaring event began at 02:05 and ended at 17:00 (895 minutes), total volume flared was 476 MSCF. An extended flaring event occurred at FS3 on September 2 when 1801 STV /IP compressor unloaded due to speed control problems and eventually shutdown. After troubleshooting the compressor was restarted. The flaring event began at 12:09 and ended at 15:41 (212 minutes), total volume flared was 451 MSCF. An extended flaring event occurred at FS2 on September 3 when 9B CL had to be shut -in and depressured due to a small gas leak. Clamp on sleeve is now in place. The common line will remain shut - in until a permanent sleeve is installed The flaring event began at 01:58 and ended at 06:00 (242 minutes), total volume flared was 231 MSCF. 9/3/2008 GPB Gas Flaring Event Page 2 of 2 If you require additional information, please don't hesitate to call me.
