A flaring event occurred at CGF starting at 01/20/2013 16:23 and stopping at 01/20/2013 18:58 with a volume of 27237
(MSCF). The event lasted for 155 minutes and was due to the unplanned shutdown of the CGF T/C 1805 MI
Compressor. Flaring continued while operations/maintenance performed troubleshooting. Flaring ended when the T/C
1805 unit was restarted, the unit was loaded, CGF process stabilized and flare valves closed.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Subject: Notification: Uncontrolled Gas Release - Skid 50 - Greater Prudhoe Bay
Jim,
I spoke to Bob Noble at the Deadhorse AOGCC Inspector office — 3:05pm today, shortly after my arrival back to
North Slope to inform him of this event. Per his request and the brief voice mail I left you:
At — 9am this morning BP was performing maintenance in the Skid 50 area on the NGL prover meter skid. An
uncontrolled gas release (liquid NGL—with associated vaporization) occurred. Actual cause and volume are
under investigation. The event is being managed as a Tier I incident.
There were no injuries or fires associated with this event.
We will follow up with the 5 & 30 day reports.
Regards,
Travis M. Rybicki
