With the recent WO and Drilling success on the Monopod, the platform is no longer fuel gas deficient. Starting late last year, as small gas volumes (now larger gas volumes) were being sent to TBPF for sales as opposed to bringing fuel gas out to the platform, we found some liquids were dropping out of this gas and causing flow problems (and potentially corrosion problems over time) in the gas line to the beach. We wanted to get this liquid out of the line as part of our routine pipeline maintenance and pigging was the quickest way to do this. We are pigging twice a week to ensure a clean gas line and this has been effective at removing the liquids from the line, but as the pipeline pressure drops to safely "catch" the pig in the receiver at TBPF, a volume of gas goes to the flare there. This is not something that we want to continue doing, so we are designing and will be installing a 'mini-dehy' skid for the Monopod that will take these liquids out of the gas before it gets into the gas line. At the latest, this dehy unit will be operational late this year and hopefully earlier. At that time we will be able to either eliminate this pigging or at least reduce the frequency of the pigging substantially and the reported flare volumes at TBPF would drop significantly, if not completely.
