September 25th Maintenance Activities Subject: September 25th Maintenance Activities Date: Sun, 23 Aug 1998 14:49:24 -0900 From: "EOC Supervisor PRB" <P2013@mail.aai.arco.com> To: Wendy_Mahan@admin.state.ak.us Wendy, I wanted to leave a message with you soon, but I make relief Monday am with my alternate, Jim Mullins, and will not be able to contact you. Rather than leave this detail to him, I thought I'd initiate this communication via e-mail. I do not know if you are aware of it yet, but Alyeska Pipeline is planning a 36 hour outage starting September 25th. As normal, the producers will be performing a slew of various maintenance activities all over the field during this period to take advantage of this opportunity. We do not request nor does AOGCC any longer grant 'flare permits' like we used to do in the past. However I just wanted to make sure you were aware of these activities. We do not anticipate any excessive flare activities on the EOA side. Most of the flaring will be associated with equipment shutdowns and blowdowns for maintenance. I know the WOA is scheduling similar maintenance activities, but I do not represent them. If you have any further questions at this time, please contact either Jim or myself at 659-5566.
