Ambient temperature increased 3.3°F in 30 minutes
While attempting to jumper a known failed exhaust
thermocouple, the MGC-B ESD was inadvertantly
tripped.
MGC-A shutdown on WHRU valve out of position. Switched WHRU to MGC-B; rebuilt louver

Gas leaked back through hydraulic equalization and Fluid packed balance and control lines and
control lines from gas injection well 2-06 to the placed well 2-06 back in injection service.
hydraulic return tank in Skid 410. The injection well
was shut in, resulting in gas flaring.
MGC-A shutdown due to power supply fuse blown Trouble shot for 2 hrs and not able to locate
(short circuit). rt¡ooo ß~ (,J,)"'.. ./' problem. Cut production to stop flaring during
wt-yE.'\) ~ troubleshooting. Pulled card connectors,
, replaced fuse and reconnected cards one at a
time to try to locate problem w/o success.
Further investigation needed.
Inadvertant total plant shutdown occurred while Error resulted from misinterpretation of the
troubleshooting the UPS system to find the source of troubleshooting procedure. Consulted
a power supply ground fault. manufacturer for clarification and held training
courses for electricians to prevent a future
occurrence. Restarted both MGCs.

tcsting of thc recently repaired gas compressors.
Thc Commission hcreby approves flaring up to 30 MJ\.1cf of gas o"er and above the designated safety flare
of the EndicoU production facility. Flaring is expected to commence on or about November 29, 1994 and
continue until work is complcte.

We have received your leHer of November 28, 1994 requesting additional flare volume for the Endicott oil
pool production facilily in the Duck Island Unit (DIU). The ad,ditional flare volume is required during
testing of the rccently rcpaircd gas compressors. '
The Commission hereby approves flaring up to 30 MMcf of gas over and above the designated safety flare
of the EndicoU production facility. Flaring is expected to comnlcncc on or about Novcmber 29, 1994 and
continue unlit work is complete.
Il is understood that gas flaring will be kept to a minimum whenever possible, and all volumes will be
reported monthly on Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission form 10-422.
