Flaring was permitted to continue while GC operations personnel attempted to restart the equipment. After 3 restarts were tried controls techs inspected and found temperature shutdown switch to be fault. BP then started cutting production (250 mmscfd). Sk-18 IP & LP compressors shut down several times because of high temperature. 3. High gas transit line pressure caused by CGF compressor problems due to high temperature. 4. Sk-18 IP & LP compressors shut down again because of high temperature. High temperature shutdown switches out of calibration. 5. Sk-18 LP compressor lost suction due high suction temperature. Action Taken to Stop Flaring: 1. BPX reduced production rates and shut-in 4 wells equaling 150 mmcfd. Wells were shut-in or choked back starting at 09:15 hours. 2. Equipment was restarted after mulitple restarts at 13:33 hours. 3. BPX reduced production rates and shut-in 3 wells equaling 110 mmcfd. Wells were shut-in or choked back starting at 13:28 hours. 4. Restart was delayed due to calibration of shutdown instrumentation. BPX reduced production rates and shut-in 45 wells ~~equaling 905 mmcfd.
