The additional gas resulted in additional backpressure to the gas transit line which backed up the interstage pressures to the compressors at CCP. Action Taken to Stop Flaring: ARCO initially reduced higher GaR wells to compensate for the additional gas rate which was produced to the gas transit line. Both ARCO and BPX then took additional gas cuts to relieve the backpressure on the gas transit line so that the CCP compressors could be of additional help in drawing down the transit line pressure.
