First Determination of Cause:
1. Sk-18 LP and IP compressors shut down because of a problem associated with gas carry under from 1st stage test bank
to the 2nd stage. This increased the gas rate to the IP compressor and it shut-down on overload.
2. High gas transit line pressure caused by CGF compressor problems due to booster #2 sid.
3. High gas transit pressure caused by having to much gas in the system.

Action Taken to Stop Flaring:
1. Equipment was restarted at 03:09 hours. The Sk-18 compressors were restarted multiple times and each time
experenced different operational problems.
2. Arco reduced production rates and shut-in 14 wells equaling300 mmcfd. Wells were shut-in or choked back starting at
01 :53 hours.
3. BPX reduced production rates and shut-in 3wells equaling 30 mmcfd. ARCO reduced production rates and shut-in 5
wells equaling 80 mmcfd. Wells were shut-in or choked back starting at 19: 11 hours.
