Hello Wendy,
I trust you are enjoying this beautiful weather.
Thank you for bringing to my attention that the flare volumes associated
with the repairs to the Solar York Compressor were missing from the January
excess Flare logs.
The January 2000 excess flare log for King Salmon has been revised to
include the repairs to the Solar York. This morning I sent a copy of the
revised flare log to the Kenai office so that they may correct the monthly
report and resubmit it to you.
The Solar York was shut down January 20, 2000 to January 22, 2000 due to a
leaking gas exchanger. The leaking tubes were repaired. Approximately 895
MCF of gas was flared during this event.
I haven~t forgotten about GPP or Anna.
Take care.....and thank you

The Solar York Gas compressor on the King Salmon Platform has been shut down
due to a gas leak on the heat exchanger. We have located some of the
needed parts, and are currently in the process of tracking down additional
parts. Weather conditions are preventing helicopter flights at this time.
The compressor may be down for several days.
We estimate 1.5 NIl~ICFD will be flared until the compressor is repaired.
Production has been cut back as much as possible while maintaining discharge
pressure.
This event will be recorded on the excess flare log and I will keep you
informed on the progress of the repairs.
Please let me know if you need more information.

Next week we are planning to perforate and test K-5 on the King Salmon
Platform. This will result in increased flaring for 2 to 3 days at a
maximum rate of 4 NIMCFD. This event will be reported on the excess flare
log as required.
Have a good weekend, Wendy!

When the heat exchanger tubes began leaking on the King Salmon Platform on
April 23rd it was decided that a replacement was needed. The old heat
exchanger has been bypassed and the former standby heat exchanger is now in
service. Piping modifications and new heads were installed along with
adjustments to the control panel. Four 2-inch spools were fabricated. The
new heat exchanger was placed in service on May 1, 2000. It is currently
running smoothly.
During this time production was cut back and gas lift was adjusted to
minimize flaring. Estimated flare volume associated with this event was
less than 9.4mmcf.
