The remaining volume of gas classified as "Flared or vented greater than 1 hour" is therefore 9,489 MCF or 306 MCFPD. The gas production was siginificantly increased from previous months because the West McArthur River Unit Well NO.3 was completed and began producing on July 4, 1995. A second gas-fired turbine was required to provide power to artificially lift Well No. 3 which burned some of the incremental gas volume from Well NO.3. However, the net result from completing Well NO.3 was an increase in gas flared. ~ 6!Æ~a /~h1 7(;) Tim Billingsley Petroleum Engineer Stewart Petroleum Company 8/8/95 . ., to t<. ....1.. Date: April 10, 1995 Form 10-422 Rev. 3/95 e e Supplement to Form 10-422 Facility Report of Produced Gas Disposition West McArthur River Unit March 1995 In accordance with 20 MC 25.235(b) for Gas Disposition, the West McArthur River Unit flared 10,393 MCF during March 1995 as a safety flare. The safety flare was continuous throughout the month at an average of 335 MCFPD. Gas-fired turbines to generate electricity were brought on line at West McArthur River Unit during mid-March 1995. These turbines have increased the amount of gas burned for lease operations and subsequently reduced the amount of gas burned in the safety flare. The next monthly report will hopefully indicate even less gas burned in the safety flare because April 1995 should be the first full month where the turbines were operated continuously. Stewart Petroleum Company wilt continue to utilize the gas as much as possible for lease operations which will minimize the amount burned in the safety flare. z: ÆlI1:~ Tim Biilings'Ç; Petroleum Engineer Stewart Petroleum Company 4/10/95 L~ ¡ ~ ~! , !i:!:j c:i I~ (\.¡ l?' <: 'oJ ....... c:i rtr ~ ~ ~ L'\- 9::- t§ 13 -.c;; Q.:~~ "'< .~ <S ¡ ~ e e . Supplement to Form 10-422 Facility Report of Produced Gas Disposition West McArthur River Unit February 1995 In accordance with 20 AAC 25.235(b) for Gas Disposition, the West McArthur River Unit flared 11,686 MCF during February 1995 as a safety flare. The safety flare was continuous throughout the month at an average of 417 MCFPD. Gas-fired turbines to generate electricity have been purchased and are currently in the start-up mode at West McArthur River Unit. These turbines will increase the amount of gas burned for lease operations and will reduce the amount of gas burned in the safety flare. The produced gas at West McArthur River Unit contains approximately 15% nitrogen which precludes a sales contract. The rate is not sufficient at this time to economically justify a nitrogen removal process. Therefore, there is currently no market for this gas and whatever gas is not used for lease operations is burned in the safety flare. Stewart Petroleum Company will continue to utilize the gas as much as possible for lease operations which will minimize the amount burned in the safety flare. .----r- p;j.
