The electric motor and gear box were sent to the beach for repairs. We are estimating the compressor may be shut down for one to two weeks. At this time we do not know the extent of the repairs that are needed. We are minimizing casing head gas in order to reduce the flare volumes. We are estimating approximately 1 mmcf per day will be flared. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thank you, Janet G. The repairs to the electric motor that drives the compressor were due to worn out bearings. The bearings had lasted 4 1/2 years. The gear box was changed out also. The compressor was down for ten days. We had estimated repairs could take up to two weeks. This event and flare volumes will be recorded on the excess flare report. Please let me know if questions. I do not have his email address. Blair The purpose of this email is to document our telephone conversations today. The leaking pipeline was on the gas line, not the oil line. The gas pipeline from Baker to Platform A is structured so that it can go directly to shore from the Baker Platform or it can go to Platform A first. Divers tried to seal the valve in order to bypass Platform A. The valve did not hold. The gas continued to leak. The leak in the gas pipeline was between the valve and Platform A on the riser to Platform A. Janet G.
