Your voice mail message requested more information on 3 events during
November on Steelhead. Below is a summary of those events.
* 11/14/98 There was a leak in the exhaust stack that required
shutting down the C-20 compressor. Access to the leak was difficult. It
involved cutting a path to the backside of the enclosure. The leaking
gasket was repaired. During the repair the well M-25 was shut in to reduce
the flare volume. As reported on the excess flare log 7590 MCF was flared
during the event.
* 11/28/98 Due to production problems M-29 was shut in on 11/27/98. A
chemical problem down hole was discovered. There was heading on the well
when it was brought back on line on 11/28/98. This causes the suction
pressure to rise which results in high seal pressure. In order to keep the
compressor from shutting down and for safety reasons the flare pressure was
lowered. The amount flared during this event was 183 MCF.
* 11/29/98 When M-29 comes back on line after being shut in it takes a
time for the pressure to balance out and stop heading. An additional 173
MCF was flared as the well continued to unload from the events on the prior
day.
If you need more information please call me.
